what's up everyone what I've got it right I'm so mad I was like I'm sure
0:18
it'll happen again Jessica say hello to everybody [ __ ] it
0:26
up so we can make fun of you what's up guys oh my God so much has happened oh
0:33
my gosh right so much has happened I'm like looking at this [ __ ] and we haven't even talked about UFC Paris yet and UFC
0:40
Paris it's so do we even know yesterday's news it really is no I mean
0:46
I think we should talk about the biggest what the [ __ ] moment in MMA right now
0:53
go for it what the [ __ ] is he yo how how dude I
1:01
gotta be honest though like after after the second round I was kind of like kind
1:07
of pulling for Strickland I was like you know what I I'm kind of rooting for him right now well it's hard not to root for
1:12
the underdog right it's hard not to root for him and as he was walking out they're saying how he's a plus 600
1:19
Underdog which already sounds like a setup like that it's so rude as soon as
1:25
that happens I get that inkling that the MMA guys are just gonna be like
1:31
[ __ ] you yeah just cause we can just because you know there
1:38
hasn't been a just bleed guy in the audience for a long time we haven't been
1:43
paying homage to the MMA God so they're just like you know what [ __ ] all your parlays I'm gonna do what I want I feel
1:50
like that just happened at the last pay-per-view with [ __ ] O'Malley yeah but I'm not as bad not as bad but that
1:57
was a what the [ __ ] moment for me at least it was because we knew how good
2:02
um we knew how good uh aljo is we knew
2:07
that his game plans that have worked before it could possibly work against O'Malley and we knew O'Malley had a
2:15
pretty easy road to the top compared to a lot of other people who got title shot so I but the power was always that thing
2:22
that I was like um he got hit a little bit in his last fight he's been injured
2:27
a lot in his last fights like this could be a thing this could be a problem but
2:33
when this happened yesterday it just happened yesterday we haven't even
2:38
talked about it so this is all wrong yeah still going I think I stopped
2:44
talking I stopped texting you after I forget what happened something happened I texted you about it the other what the
2:51
[ __ ] moment which was what road how do you say his name
2:57
saying the he said the f word he said the f word the wrong at the one that we
3:02
dropped constantly constantly not the one that we use the numbers the bad one the one the bad one I think
3:10
is really bad these days um I know a lot of people grow grew up using it with their friends you know a
3:18
lot of people use it and they don't mean to be homophobic when they're saying it they're just saying it because it's like
3:24
when someone says oh oh that's so gay but they're not like oh that's gay because gay people are stupid they're
3:30
just saying it it's actually a word in the dictionary it's is it yeah oh well yeah
3:35
gay is happy yeah but they're not using it that way they're saying oh stupid and then I think who was it it's legit in
3:43
the dictionary I think it was My Doppelganger who's the first person who said uh
3:49
saying it that way is actually really um just really rude towards gay people
3:58
um on the Sykes she said that not your doppelganger
4:05
I know people say that I do not I think I look more like Jaden Smith but it's a
4:11
tomato um yeah uh Wanda Sykes was the first
4:16
person I remember growing up saying that and then it made me think twice about how I used it because you know it was it
4:23
was just a thing that you would say not think about it you're just like oh it's stupid all it's that so nowadays
4:30
especially in a public setting on TV on
4:35
ESPN it wasn't even pay-per-view it wasn't paper like you have like the pay-per-view bubble where you can like
4:41
get away with things that like it doesn't count it's like the in-between world yeah you can get away with a lot
4:46
on pay-per-view because it's pay-per-view yes R-rated yeah it's the R-rated show it's not the PG-13 show
4:54
yeah but ESPN Plus gotta be careful bro and I think you
4:59
felt that because uh I heard like Dana White commented on it and uh the guy
5:05
wasn't invited to the press conference afterwards like he won the fight but he didn't talk to anyone so I'm like yeah
5:12
that's a good sign and he apologized right after on social media I I wondered
5:18
because uh because it was just like so well written I was like I wonder if it was the UFC's PR team or if it was his
5:26
management because it was just very very very eloquent compared to his
5:32
post-fight speech
5:37
it's like when um our girl Champion got all Rowdy she was like gosh [ __ ] you
5:43
[ __ ] he was dirty little [ __ ] and we're like who is doing that because we
5:48
know it's not you no you're the person who pulls the love hearts out of your pocket even the translator wouldn't
5:54
translate it that way oh it's writing this for you I would like to talk to them because they are not being your
6:00
friend right now I would too I think that person was being very uh
6:05
what do you call it just bad they were being bad with her social
6:12
media in her trust um but yeah I texted you after that moment
6:18
um and then I just kind of got wrapped up in the pay-per-view but man and not
6:25
only once but we had two yeah we had two we had two f-bombs I
6:31
actually think that uh how do you say his name Manel cop cop like a copper I I
6:38
think that he saved racket however you say his name
6:44
red key I think he saved him by doing it as well because you can cut one guy that
6:52
people don't really know but you can't cut two guys and one of them's ranked without like you know giving them give
6:59
them a warning chat I think now we're gonna have those moments in the post or
7:05
in the pre-fight meeting like you know how when Allah aquana when it cussed out all the fans and now they have
7:12
listened Rule and in my book he can say whatever he can say whatever he's fine
7:18
he can it's because the accent and the personality like his like everything about him I'm like it's fine you wanna
7:24
say [ __ ] me you wanna boo me you wanna [ __ ] beat boo me yeah
7:29
a great moment these moments were not as fun there was just a different energy to
7:36
them I mean it didn't feel it felt hateful you know it felt really weird
7:42
strangely hateful and then directed towards a crowd maybe they don't want to be directing to but manalcob kind of
7:49
sounded like he was saying your teammates are gay so yeah but and like
7:55
so we're we're in Australia right like they could have just used the word [ __ ] and we would have all you know had a had
8:01
a knee slap about it it was completely appropriate oh those uh British and uh
8:08
what do you call them the Queensland uh whatever territories all those territories with the accents they're so
8:14
cute with their colloquialisms yes foreign it would have been fine it would have
8:21
been fine but no they wanted to they wanted to use the f word they wanted to burn some bridges so I think uh cop
8:27
actually saved that guy from getting serious repercussions I think they might
8:33
just be told off and strongly advised to never do it again
8:39
and I think that we're probably going to be told in our pre-fight meeting when
8:45
Dana's like just get out there you guys are [ __ ] badasses you can get 50k
8:50
bonuses all all around um he'll also say don't cuss like Allah
8:56
aquina and don't use the f word like these two guys because you'll get cut afterwards also don't push people like
9:02
Jeremy Stevens or you okay there's always like somebody [ __ ] up and then they say specifically do not do this it
9:10
would be really fun if there was a sign of all the things that just with their name on it this this this the owl rule
9:20
the cop rule the Stevens rule you know and the loss goes on there's so many
9:25
rules that can be written about the bad behavior that UFC fighters have gotten
9:30
away with um but yeah that was insane that was terrible I just yeah just two in one
9:38
[ __ ] night it was a lot it was a lot it was a lot and you know we're we're in the gym a lot we hear the locker room
9:46
banter or whatever um we're not soft but when you're
9:51
representing a company in a professional setting you have to mind your peas and
9:58
cues and F's yes well said you do
10:05
um anyway uh the main event let's talk about that because you should dude I am
10:11
so and it's like hindsight is 20 20 right every time I talked about the what
10:16
if like what if Strickland were to have success in the fight it would be because he seems to have this deceptive power
10:25
deceptive length in his jab and it just throws people off their game it's like
10:31
the um the the same kind of thing that Juliana Pena does to her opponents you
10:37
know it's like that it's tough yeah like they just have that that thing that
10:43
tenacity that pressure yeah that um yeah they they both have it in you know
10:51
slightly slightly similar slightly different ways but they both got got that thing that thing and it's uh
10:57
there's some unorthodox in this about the way he comes forward to the way he
11:03
blocks punches uh he like frames out of things really weird and shoulder rolls
11:10
and does all the stuff that on tape it looks like you can work around it like it looks like you can throw like a kick
11:16
to get over the shoulder and hit him in the head or it looks like you can punch through his guard especially if you're
11:23
super straight but everything that Adam was trying to do just slipped off of him
11:28
it was like he was like buttered up everything was hard it was hard to find that Mark on him it was and the way he
11:35
was timing like um arasania is is really great at fighting backwards and cutting
11:41
angles you know he throws like a really nice check hook he also throws like a lean back hook which isn't really like
11:46
he's not really stepping outside like you do a check hook but he does these things that are very evasive and every
11:53
time he did those like Strickland had his number it was just it was very impressive he just really stuck to the
11:58
game plan he stuck to what he's good at and and he was unrelenting yeah and he
12:04
made it very challenging for addisonia to you know get any offense off there were there were moments where I saw Adam
12:10
I was like oh he's like you know he's like power saved up he's about to you know like hit a crazy combination and
12:18
then they they just stopped like it was just he was unable to build a new momentum the whole fight it was it was
12:24
very impressive and like I was saying you know after the second round I was I was I was rooting for Strickland like I
12:31
just I couldn't help myself it is that Underdog factor that story um yeah I think we're both at the age
12:38
where we can not necessarily like like someone but
12:45
still appreciate respect appreciate respect feel good for them feel bad for
12:52
them there's a lot of people who I'm just like uh when Colby colemanson lost kind of felt really bad for him like
12:59
like I was hoping he'd lose because I was rooting for um Usman but like when it happened he
13:06
just looked so defeated and you could tell that he put a ton of work into that camp he's a great fighter and for
13:13
whatever my maturity didn't let me go post memes about him getting hit you
13:21
know I I it's it's uh it's human to not necessarily like the things that someone
13:28
says or or the Antics or whatever but still just be really impressed and start
13:34
rooting for the guy you didn't expect to root for and I think a lot of it was just the fact that he was doing so well
13:41
and no one expected him to like I didn't expect him to I don't know I I feel like
13:46
the only person who was who was written off more was Giuliana Pena in recent
13:52
history but this it's crazy that he was able to do what he did um seemed like a
13:58
it seemed like a a it was gonna wound up to be like a classic night for arasanya
14:05
because usually he's able to move and get out of the way of someone who pressures forward like that and make
14:12
them walk into stuff but every time he tried to set those traps like he said Strickland was just able to
14:18
beat him to the punch like literally beat him to the punch hit him when he was trying to set up his counter and
14:24
drop him and I think that first moment just scared this [ __ ] like it it just froze him up he never really committed
14:32
in the same way after that first drop and uh kudos to Mark Goddard for letting
14:39
it go on because there was all that controversy with the first uh padaya fight where he was like I was playing
14:45
possum you didn't like I wasn't really that hurt um a lot of times you don't remember
14:50
getting hurt but you wake up and you're like I'm fine I'm so I was about to
14:55
punch a pack uh but this time no questions are left he he definitely got
15:01
hurt in that first round he was able to come back but that was the only moment he was able to come back in that fight
15:07
and Strickland just stuck to the game plan and he's the middleweight champion what the
15:15
[ __ ] the guy who was yelling and screaming during inspiring God damn we're not
15:23
tired you're not tired she said I'm like [ __ ] you like what do you think can you
15:29
go downstairs like like who invited you why are you here you're not even our teammate nobody said you could come to
15:35
practice Strickland uh guys if you train
15:41
be careful about talking [ __ ] about Strickland because he might just show up to your gym
15:46
just for fun yeah he probably won't know you were talking [ __ ] about him but he'll he'll probably show up at some
15:51
point he's a he's been just about everywhere in Southern California I
15:57
think he's in Vegas that I've been at yeah at some point yeah yeah that time we
16:04
went to Ruka uh he was there but just hanging out giving a [ __ ] baby shark advice
16:12
against me I'm like shut the [ __ ] up why are you always around
16:19
oh this guy and now he's a [ __ ] Champ [ __ ] oh my God
16:27
so Sean if you have any advice for me let me know
16:33
all right now did you jump and listen to what you have to say so there you go
16:40
um man so uh did you have any time to think about any
16:46
other fights on this card you know what the one that I was anticipating because because it was it
16:53
was so hyped up and because there was all these Antics um at the the press conference the yeah
16:58
pre-fight press conference was um Homer that dropped the the F-bomb oh
17:04
but now cop cop yeah so he was supposed to fight Kai kaika Kara Franc or is it France
17:13
okay France I think it's France yeah kaikara Kai oh kaikai
17:21
that sounds better KK so they're all these Antics and like he's um cop is a really really impressive
17:27
fighter and he was fighting somebody that you know showed up on short notice I was actually really impressed me too
17:34
who is this kid I love him yo he's I was rooting for him I was like a little baby
17:39
aloe vera I know um it was I'm like grab his name right
17:45
now yeah it sounds sounds about right but
17:51
let me grab it I will look just keep talking him up because no he was great I
17:57
mean he was kind of a loose cannon he like he gave no [ __ ] Felipe dos Santos
18:03
very close it was way off thank you though thank you though sounded like it was I knew what you know no no
18:10
no same amount of syllables almost totally the blonde skinny kid he was so
18:17
impressive he was I mean he just like he threw caution to the wind which was terrifying and exciting all at the same
18:23
time I was like thank God I don't know this guy because I would be freaking out more than I am right now yeah but he
18:28
just brought it to the guy and I mean the um and and cop is you know no slouch he's a very Savvy Striker and you know a
18:36
previous champion and and what you know his his short notice opponent was able
18:41
to do was really impressive and I am it is absolutely a fan of his I want to see him fight moving forward I just love it
18:48
me too he was just able to throw everything in the kitchen sink I'm like
18:53
oh that's what it's supposed to look like yeah I was walking foreign
19:00
I just needed someone to do it against someone really good so I could know that it works got it got
19:08
it yeah he was is insane that that fight was really good it ended up getting
19:13
fighting tonight yeah I think it should yeah yeah and it's always um special when the little guys show out
19:20
too because they don't always get that love like when it's an exciting fight a lot of times just because there isn't as
19:26
much damage being done because they're so small then they don't get the same love but they were dropping each other
19:32
left and right like it was it was so back and forth uh dos Santos he was in
19:38
the fight the whole time uh it was it was really a cool one to watch and uh
19:45
maybe maybe cop wouldn't have dropped the F-bomb if he didn't show if Felipe didn't show up
19:51
like that you know like maybe brought it out of them maybe he was so impressed he
19:58
was like he made y'all look like [ __ ] you know like man I really wish he
20:03
didn't say that though oh one thing I wanted to talk about tell me
20:08
the way DC yanked him off stage so good
20:15
you would have thought that that was his little kid you know that the control room was
20:22
screaming in his ear he says it
20:28
DC takes a mic and takes him by the hand he doesn't just take the mic he takes it
20:35
by the hand and he's so tiny the cow is so tidy and this is so big it looks like
20:40
he's yanking his kid like he got in trouble at school or something like he's uh yanking him through the mall yeah for
20:47
doing something stupid for not being quiet and keeping his voice down yes that that cracked me up that was that's
20:53
probably going to be one of my favorite DC moments of all time I hope they turn into a gif a gif how do they say him
21:00
yeah GIF GIF GIF I'm better at pronouncing that than fighter names
21:05
uh yeah I hope so it was such a good moment I might have to do that just so I
21:11
can use it in text messages and stuff anytime someone gets a gets Rowdy gets a
21:17
little crazy and like you know what you're going home and just post that gift we're going home you're done get
21:24
drunk no more no more oh my God Kim I almost I didn't forget but it I didn't
21:29
bring it up right away um Laura Cinco yes first female
21:35
commentary you better work girl on a pay-per-view and she freaking showed up
21:42
she killed it she I want to listen to her every fight yeah I'm like everybody
21:47
else is fired I only want senko yes all I think of you know it's it's nice to
21:54
have that feminine energy in there but also you know that she really did her
22:00
research that's what I love about her because I'm sorry the other guys like they don't do research like that they
22:06
don't they say the same thing and I'm not going to say names but a lot of these guys say the same things over and
22:13
over and over again but this chick does her research and it is so refreshing and
22:19
so appreciated like I love it she comes so prepared yeah she does and you know
22:26
um half of that is double standard because a woman walks into uh a boy's
22:32
Playhouse and automatically you're gonna think that she doesn't know what she's talking about or she's there because
22:37
she's hot or she's there because she has big tits and hey you can have all of that I mean which she does yes she does
22:44
she's gorgeous but even into blondes but I have a crush on Laura's thing no she is doing the damn thing if anything a
22:51
smart one hmm dude if she had some glasses and she's
22:56
fine yes she has like the librarian takes her hair down kind of look like
23:01
she already took her hair down but she's saying smart [ __ ] so you forget
23:07
that she's blonde you just see her and her presence and how
23:13
educated and eloquent she is and it really is refreshing it's nice to see that she's raising that ceiling she's
23:20
allowing other people to have a chance like maybe us in the future uh all the other women
23:26
who who led the way to you have uh Karen Bryant making a levy and now Laura senko
23:32
they're all just pushing those boundaries more and more so it's really awesome to see and uh yeah we need it
23:38
because uh we have Fighters dropping up s we need a little class in there did
23:45
you hear vocabulary I was like like what does it mean she dropped a word in one
23:52
of her um in one of her breakdowns of Izzy versus Strickland she dropped a word and I can't remember it but it was like uh
23:59
it's it's not exonerated but it was like existronomic collated it had a lot of
24:06
syllables in it and I was like I need to look that [ __ ] up yeah I had to Google a
24:11
few words yeah um also her comparison to um arasania being a like jazz and then
24:19
that's the one I'm talking about yeah like do you remember the word no used no
24:25
but I was just I don't know that word yes yes that is exactly what it is oh my
24:31
God this is amazing I am so I'm so excited for her I am so excited for like what she's doing for
24:38
women's sport what she's doing for the sport I just it's really exciting and it
24:44
was nice to see her have her little moment because I I was creeping on one
24:49
of the posts where she was saying that Strickland would be a more competitive
24:54
fight than people are getting giving him credit for and I was creeping on the comments and they're like what is this
25:00
girl talking about okay sister sit down and for her to say that and then for
25:06
that to happen I'm like I almost want to go back to the comments but I'm not I'm bigger than that no you're not oh okay
25:13
do it screenshot it just I'm gonna just go and like all of them like
25:20
frog oh man but yeah good job Laura way
25:25
to just lift up women in MMA everywhere and that's a that's a big deal like it's
25:31
a really big deal I can't wait to see her commentate another pay-per-view I know that's so exciting
25:38
think of a president yes yes
25:44
um what else happened uh the um Ezekiel toke was pretty crazy like when
25:52
we don't we see people go for the Ezekiel choke but we don't actually see them pull it off in an animation yeah
25:58
but there are like I've seen it a bunch of times I'm like ah you know it's it's a hard one it's a hard leverage point if
26:03
anyone was gonna do it it would be big ass heavyweight yeah what is that guy's name uh that big old Russian dude uh who
26:11
always hits him uh hmm Anthony alexio olnik yeah oil Nick Adam
26:21
gave me the last name I had the first name he always hits the Ezekiel choke from
26:27
bottom so when we're watching it um and I was rooting for taito Vasa uh and I
26:33
saw a volk passing to to mount I'm like Ezekiel Chuck you know yeah you could do
26:39
it you're a heavyweight too and then [ __ ] volkov hit it and I was like salmon I wasn't talking to you why
26:49
why did you do that but he like that was a that was a really cool fight it obviously got overshadowed by the main
26:56
event but that was pretty nuts it was a great coming event yeah I too was
27:02
rooting for Tai tuivasa I'm a big fan of his yeah um I mean you know hats off to to volkov
27:10
but yeah me me as as it happened sometimes sometimes
27:15
hey well the other guys with the leggings tattoos won you know all the guys who have the
27:21
tattoos it looks like they're wearing high-waisted jeans I'm so distracted by the belly button yes like it really it
27:28
like it that's where my eyes go I just stare at belly button the whole fight well it's because it's uh not
27:35
symmetrical too yeah it's just like one there and then one there I wonder I I
27:40
should probably do some research on what it means but I feel like it has some significance like the UFC belts has how
27:46
each rhinestone it's like it means something wrong of it yeah each little
27:52
match I don't know if it's lettering or symbols yeah exactly maybe it's the time
27:57
they were born it's funny that it's so distracting to me because like so many so many of the
28:03
UFC fighters have that yeah um and I've never actually go with what it is but it's always very distracting
28:09
to me well I just know it's a Maori thing right it's a cultural thing cultural tattoos I'm guessing it has
28:16
something to do with Warriors or something like that just just keep going
28:22
um [Music]
28:31
and we're back okay what were you talking about I wasn't really listening uh tattoos
28:37
they're cool they're cool and they look like leggings they look like high-waisted uh you're high-waisted
28:43
um uh Lululemon's Lululemon capris I'm not a big fan of capris but you know on
28:49
them it looks pretty good it looks good on them yeah and it tapers the waist which some of them need
28:55
they do nobody shame but you know that neat but
29:01
you know it makes you look a little scarier um
29:07
just [ __ ] nailed that guy it was so nasty to see and the way that he jumped
29:13
on top and got those big nasty blows uh it was
29:19
I I think I prefer the walk-off that made me shudder it was so scary I'm
29:28
like if I was that man's loved one I'd be climbing the cage right to get him
29:33
off him and stop that was so violent and nasty
29:39
oh in another violent moment um other song is hot teammate
29:45
Carlos oberg oh yeah I know who you're talking the
29:50
one who looks like a male model yeah yeah that one he looks like uh yeah he
29:55
could be an Abercrombie and Fitch guy standing in front of the store
30:01
I mean he's a little bit more like up there than Abercrombie I mean I would give him yeah that's more of like a
30:08
Tyler Hugo Boss oh yeah I could see that or some fancy uh sunglasses I guess Hugo
30:16
Boss does sunglasses right yeah we're on the same page
30:21
he had a nasty submission finish and the referee did not see the top that was
30:27
yeah and so it was like 10 seconds yeah of added brain damage because yeah
30:34
because uh the ref was on the wrong side yeah it was so scary and like I mean
30:39
it's not totally the ref's fault like when you're fighting you kind of have to just do whatever you can to tap like if
30:46
if you're tapping and they're still squeezing you gotta tap something else you gotta wiggle you have to kick your
30:52
legs or something yeah I remember uh we used to um they think it well not funny
30:58
but I it was a thing that Alex Chambers would when she got tapped she would kick
31:04
her legs do you remember that I remember it was like a thing like every time she
31:09
got tapped she would I feel like she would just hold off until the very last second and then she'd go oh [ __ ] I'm
31:16
getting tapped and then just kick her legs and you gotta do something like that so the referee knows like oh you're
31:24
in trouble um but unfortunately that guy started to happen he held out tapped and then went
31:29
out unconscious and it took a while for him to wait back up I was a little worried about that it was a long I mean
31:36
it in second Wise It's not that long but when you're you know lacking oxygen to your brain it is a
31:43
long time and it is scary it's um you know we get we get hard on the refs and we get hard on people about these
31:49
situations but it is hard and there's a lot of room for human error so it's um I'm glad he's okay but it is it is a
31:57
hard thing and you can't you know see every single angle and it was also you're pressed up against the cage there
32:03
was just a lot of stuff going on um but that was and the ref is looking at the clock they're looking at the the
32:10
fighter I was staring at the hands because I'm like that's deep I'm yeah I'm like I don't know how he's holding
32:16
out right now yeah yeah it was pretty crazy chin must be tucked but then he was face down so you really couldn't see
32:22
anything except for the guy on his back it was um yeah it was it was quite a challenging
32:27
challenging situation I'm glad he's okay though that's always dangerous do you remember uh one of our favorite refs Kim
32:35
Wenzel oh [ __ ] Kim get me started hey
32:42
isn't that what she do she'd go all right this way no no no no that's the camera
32:49
and I'm like what does that mean it's like the Santa Claus like he would like and go up the chimney
32:56
oh is that well that's a bad movie I don't know what the [ __ ] that is but yeah she would do stupid stuff I have a
33:01
horror story about her that I just uh when I was cornering some amateur Fighters do tell and I because I
33:08
remember the famous Kim Couture one it was a similar kind I mean not as bad but
33:13
okay almost as bad like it was just tell me more let me tell you that yeah
33:21
like I need to be hydrated for this memory so it's um yeah it was it was an amateur
33:28
organization and I was cornering Jillian lybarger Jocelyn or was it
33:35
Jocelyn it was one of the twins one of the twins it was very early in their career and they you know they were
33:43
fighting um there's smaller you know girl but at an amateur
33:49
level it's really hard to gauge like the level of people you just have to go off of their experience and it was an evenly
33:55
matched fight and good old Kim she let
34:01
this fight it could have been stopped in the first [ __ ] round like it could have been TKO first round and every
34:09
round after that it was the same and it is it's not you know um one of the library's the the girls that I was
34:15
cornering they were beating the crap out of this girl and like I'm like please
34:21
stop it yeah the corner wouldn't throw it in and it was it was just so frustrating she wasn't like bloody and
34:28
you know like battered looking it wasn't you know anything like that but just the amount of damage and the amount of
34:34
punches the girl took she was a little bit smaller a little bit you know we we saw her experience as the fight went on
34:41
right and the fight could have been stopped at so many different moments and it wasn't and I and I just fell felt
34:46
like him had this like was carrying this torch for women's MMA and it was
34:52
Reckless yeah and it was not what we needed it was not safe for the
34:59
fighters it was not you know what she was trying to do maybe she was trying to take a stand for female Fighters and give them an
35:05
opportunity because you know we remember the days back when um you know Jan Finney and Julie Kedzie and Gina Carano
35:13
when these girls are fighting and they're on this like big stage of strike force and they stopped the fight early
35:19
because somebody's bleeding Yeah well yeah but it's like not as much but
35:24
yeah it was the first time that like women's MMA was like on a big platform
35:31
on TV and they stopped it because of a cut and so I felt like Kim just was was
35:41
trying to like carry that torch and be like no women are tough they can you know they can take it they can give it
35:46
they can do this they can do that but the way she went about it was completely Reckless and it was uneducated it was
35:52
not okay and I just like I'm watching you know my Fighter beat the crap out of this
35:59
girl and I'm I'm happy for my fighter that they are winning but I am terrified and wanting it to stop for the other
36:06
girl for her own safety and it was not stopped just three rounds of just getting the crap beat out of her yeah
36:13
and I was not okay with it and from that like moment for it I was like this woman will never will never rough me uh she
36:20
will I will step in and say I do not want her roughing my Fighters because it's just she is she's Reckless yeah I
36:27
think I had her once and I already had that opinion of her going into the fight
36:34
so it actually made me stop beating a girl a little earlier than I should have
36:41
because I was like you see she's down right like uh I think I actually got criticized a little bit for it but it
36:47
was a an Invicta fight and I think it was uh Stephanie egg Inc and I had hit
36:54
her real hard and I felt like I saw her eyes like go rolly and I hit her real
37:01
hard she sat on the ground I punched her twice and she wasn't moving so I looked
37:08
at the ref I'm like you see this right and she didn't do anything so I punched her two more times and then she jumped
37:14
in and stopped it and people were like I hate when people look at the Wrath like like trying to beg them to stop the
37:20
fight but it had nothing to do with that it had everything to do with just me knowing in
37:26
the past that she's let fights called female fights especially she's let them go on for so long past the point where
37:34
the person is fighting back or has any chance of coming back and getting back
37:40
to Consciousness so uh the one that I saw that was really bad was the Kim Couture one where she was I forget what
37:47
she was in was it a triangle she was in some kind of blood choke and she was out for so long to the point
37:54
where she started doing the trembles and that just makes my blood curdle like it's such a scary thing to see happen
38:01
recently we had that other guy who ended up he was rapping on a regional scene
38:06
didn't the next day he wrapped in the UFC but he ended up getting this guy's arm just ripped apart because he saw him
38:14
go unconscious in a triangle the guy transitioned to an arm bar the guy woke
38:20
up getting armbarred was so loopy he couldn't tap and the arm just got ripped
38:26
back and forth a million different did you see that one it's disgusting but that actually happened recently and um
38:33
yeah I don't this isn't I'm just reminiscing of how crazy things can go
38:39
into cage I think the ref did a good job last night with Carlos oldberg it's just
38:45
this [ __ ] happens sometimes but sometimes it's a rep swallow and it just reminded me of Kim Kim I wouldn't
38:51
blowing all her fun little things that she did in there oh I'm glad she's gone yes it was very dangerous yeah
38:58
it's not really funny we can laugh at it now because she's gone but it's not really funny at all I
39:04
don't know oh my goodness um yeah but uh UFC 293 was uh I don't know
39:13
it it kind of surprised me the amount of drama and excitement that came with the
39:19
card with the press conferences with all the little uh back and forth like uh
39:27
the dog video where Izzy like a little dumb stuff a
39:34
cop throwing a bottle at kaikar France and now the f-bombs like it it really
39:40
ended up being uh an insane night of fights and everyone was calling it lame
39:47
everyone was saying that it just I mean it didn't have the name value but it ended up delivering still lots of
39:53
shenanigans Lots so many Shenanigans the things I feel like I'm exhausted from
39:58
the shenanigans to be honest there's a lot going on there's a lot that that
40:04
happened there's a lot going on um there was also uh bare knuckle oh MMA
40:11
yes happened for the first time in game bread FC yeah did you watch it I watched
40:18
the highlights okay I can only do one paper to it I only do one but well it was a free
40:24
card yeah so that was cool um kudos to game bread trying to uh get
40:30
those viewers up and everything um and there were a couple people I cared about uh Anthony and chicani uh
40:39
his um Kitty's older brother
40:45
yeah look at you and I get into names right first time yeah you know what it
40:52
was bound to happen it's a numbers game with me all right so Anthony ninja kawani
40:57
he put on a masterful performance against a pretty game guy uh it was
41:03
really cool to watch lots of good Muay Thai stuff you would see your knees that you were talking about lots of
41:09
demonstrations on what Adam was asking to do
41:15
knees and elbows uh the guy he was fighting actually threw a really nasty spinning elbow too but it was it was
41:21
really cool to watch um and surprisingly similar to MMA I
41:28
didn't really notice that they didn't have gloves on but I think because there
41:33
were so many knees and kicks and elbows that you forgot that they weren't
41:38
throwing as many punches as they usually were I ran into that too I was like oh actually I feel like bare knuckle MMA
41:45
makes more sense to me it makes so much more sense bare knuckle boxing yeah you can get with that a little bit more yeah
41:52
I like we've you've seen Beck's hands after her bare knock a boxing fights
41:57
like they're horrific it they just look like they hurt so much and she has these
42:02
cute little baby hands like tiny hands her so she was doing like fight poses or
42:07
like she was she was doing something and then um I was like oh give me your jewelry her like ring finger like fits
42:14
on like it doesn't pass the knuckle of my [ __ ] Pinky I'm like how oh yeah
42:21
she's a daintiest little hair she's a lot bigger than me I remember
42:27
I was like and I mean she's like the last time um we're referring to the time I went to
42:32
to Denver and I was in background's corner and so she's like close to fight
42:38
weight and I remember you know I've been lifting and stuff like that I was like
42:43
I was like oh I got bigger and then I was like oh wait she's on weight yes
42:48
still uh it's still 125-ish
42:55
I was like oh yeah actually we are we are the same weight right now that makes sense okay cool yeah but she has the
43:02
tiniest hands and feet like they look like they were bound when she was a
43:08
child there's a little like little Dobby and so it always cracks me up when she hurts people with her boxing because I'm
43:16
like I can't say so small they must feel really really dumb getting hit by this
43:21
tiny little fist but when she does her bare not gold they
43:26
swell up and they look like a little Mickey Mouse gloves they they look like water balloons yes Mickey Mouse clubs
43:33
they like yeah it's a little mallets it's crazy it's like baked bread yeah so
43:39
I it uh it makes me feel better watching bare knuckle because they have so many
43:45
other tools to use yeah it just yeah for for whatever reason my my brain has less
43:51
hard of a time like grasping it and like understanding it
43:56
and you know being okay with it for whatever reason I'm just yeah
44:01
yeah oh my God how could you do that but I'm like oh yeah it makes a little bit
44:07
more sense to me less uh Pro clutching with the bare knuckle MMA
44:12
I did clutch my pearls watching General Santos split open verdum's eye though
44:20
that was rough man I was thinking about that match up and I'm just like that is not the one that I want to do bare
44:26
knuckle boxing against freaking [ __ ]
44:31
because he's a good boxer yeah he's a good boxer and verdum his striking got
44:37
better when he was working with hafail Cordero but like he's still like he's still a bottom Jiu Jitsu player an
44:42
amazing bottom guy but still yeah it's just like start standing
44:50
it started standing and it's uh it's you're gonna have a lot of trouble getting in when the fists are even
44:57
smaller than they were before like there's so many more holes to sneak through when your bare knuckle MMA and
45:04
it's it's really scary and when he landed that punch uh that big just kind
45:10
of Leaping overhand right oh it looks so nasty I can only imagine it probably
45:16
felt like getting hit by a bat like getting hit by a car or something oh and
45:22
such a big boy behind it too but what really uh just
45:28
made me so gleeful it was tell me was
45:34
his post-fight speech he looks so happy he looks so freaking happy he was they
45:40
were just like how did you feel Kayla Harris uh was doing the mic thing so another woman doing doing woman things
45:47
in the cage um Kayla Harris uh gave him to Mike and was like how did you feel doing bare
45:52
knuckle for the first time he's like I love it
46:00
one of those happy Brazilians yes there's a bunch of like really big scary MMA fighters that are
46:07
like just like perma-happy oh and he's one of them yes he's adorable uh Johnny
46:14
Faria my coach at Alliance he definitely one of those happy Brazilians Wilson
46:19
Hayes oh yeah put a drink in that boy he will not stop smiling he was just doing
46:25
his dance doing his uh foot sweep dance so yeah
46:31
that was really nice and uh I got to commentate this weekend too speaking of Wilson Hayes I got to watch you
46:36
commentate thank you for wearing that really uh low backless dress well I was working on my
46:44
baba boom Oh you boom you boomed yay thanks thank you oh man yeah I I it was
46:54
it was a really fun night and there were a lot of crazy fights and I I like doing
46:59
cage Warriors because it feels very homey just because we we've been in San
47:05
Diego for so long a lot of the people on the fight card are people that we've either been in the same room with or
47:12
actually trained with for a long time so yeah it's a small community yes small community is really fun and I I get a
47:20
crash course in trying to be unbiased on commentary it's really hard but I mean
47:28
the longer sorry to cut you off no go ahead in my experience when I was when I was working with cffc a lot I would get
47:35
to know some of these guys and there's a lot of like local Philly guys local New Jersey guys like local Fighters that I
47:42
would I would see a lot and it starts to get it starts to get challenging but it
47:48
is you know our job when we're at that desk to be unbiased and and neutral it
47:54
can be challenging yeah you know I mean the guys at this highest level get criticized for it all the time but yeah
48:01
I think a lot of it has to do because there's always conspiracy seriously theories and and people saying oh you're
48:08
trying to push this guy or that guy but a lot of times it's just the person you see all the time it's the person who you
48:13
can actually have a conversation with uh the person who will go out to lunch with
48:19
you in between I don't know training sessions in Vegas and it's super hard
48:25
not to say good things about that guy when you've just had more interactions with them you know more about them so
48:32
you're able to say more good things about them than their opponent who you know might be good doing good things but
48:38
you don't have that uh non-sequitur to say about him because he just never interacted with them but uh it was very
48:46
challenging but I feel like I did okay not great there were a few moments where I was
48:53
like that was early what are you doing you know like not that bad but I felt
48:59
like the energy was man that's my friend and then I wanted to tone it down
49:05
um but I feel like I did okay like maybe uh
49:10
I don't know of a five out of out of seven on the um biased skill yeah I'm
49:17
working I couldn't listen to you again I could only see you and then every once in a while when they would cut to like
49:23
you know you guys like standing doing like the the pre kind of like hype moment yeah
49:29
um that's the only time I could hear you I think I'm I'm not gonna get really criticized for it until people go back
49:36
and look at tape for the next okay fine I'm like wait what'd she say about
49:44
me that's hard too I've had I've had a couple people
49:49
not like I had one person kind of get their feelings hurt but then I've had I've had some people be like hey like
49:57
you were right I was like oh I'm sorry I didn't want to be right I don't want to be right like I don't I'm just saying
50:02
what I see yeah you know yeah I've gotten an unfollow because it was like I
50:08
don't know maybe they took it too harshly but like you you've gotta like report what you see and sometimes it's
50:15
not what people want to hear no for sure it was it was really hard um talking about the main event because
50:22
I have a very close relationship with Wilson Hayes he's cornered me a bunch we've trained together since I got to
50:28
Alliance he was the first guy to say you should come move here and train with the girls you know he's so [ __ ] nice he's
50:35
the only person who was like super super welcoming when I first walked into the gym not the only person but the first
50:40
person um and he's just been a friend ever since but then on the other side he had
50:47
this uh Trevin Jones guy who I feel for because he got into the UFC had a big
50:54
knockout and then lost his next four fights against really good people and
50:59
now he's out again so it's like okay in a way I was also rooting for him
51:05
because it's like he he kind of has more upside Wilson's almost 40 so am I but
51:12
he's still working to either get the belt and cage Wars or get back into the UFC but it's probably more likely that
51:19
someone like Trevin Jones who's a little younger he's like 30 something late early 30s
51:26
um who already has a knockout against someone who's been just doing amazing in
51:31
the UFC right now like it's it's probably more likely that he gets back in the UFC so in a close fight like that
51:38
you're like uh like I can't really be mad either way um
51:43
well I don't feel like Wilson should have won I was mad and I may or may not have voiced my opinion to the judges as
51:50
they walked by me as I was leaving oh what'd you say the [ __ ] were you looking at
51:58
I saw I saw something was the judge that scored it for Wilson yes and he's fine
52:05
you're not on The Hit List he's fine he let you know I wasn't talking to him too he just kind of like
52:11
he was like that's why he escorted for Wilson he was like oh [ __ ] because after the fight and we were all
52:18
we were all walking down and I was like because I I can't hear like all of it okay I know I can't hear who the the
52:26
judges are like from yeah like I can't hear anything and so I just I see this this um I was
52:33
talking to somebody and we're walking down these stairs and I see um this guy Rafael who's one of the the
52:40
refs and I used to train with him at rain up in Orange County he was like oh hey it's you I was like did you I said I
52:45
was like who judged that fight and he was like and then I I see all the judges I was like did you judge that fight who
52:51
scored it that way and they just all kind of went that's what they do this is little [ __ ] okay I was like Felicia oh look
52:59
me in my eye I know it was you she just kept walking ah so you know what she looks like oh I know no and I I'm not a
53:06
fan so she was actually I saw she was in a few Split Decision differentials
53:13
um I have not agreed with her scoring in any time I paid attention I have not
53:18
agreed with it at all she is the Kim Winslow of I knew she did judges for
53:24
women I knew she did it damn it Felicia yeah
53:31
yeah we need to say bye to Felicia oh Bye Felicia oh I the thing that I was
53:39
thinking I was like man where is Felicia when I have these close split decisions
53:44
and I [ __ ] the girl's face up like where is Felicia then it's like obvious
53:49
that I did more damage and you got these people scoring on on the person wanting
53:55
it more or looking less tired I'm like [ __ ] you guys
54:00
so it the the thing that I hate is just not knowing which way the judges are going to swing and I felt like they were
54:08
going to swing Wilson's way especially because he finished a round strong after he got hurt but uh
54:14
yeah that is what it is that one moment in the third round where he caught a
54:20
knee it doesn't it doesn't outweigh all the whole body of work that that will
54:27
happen in the round which was was he did a really good job yeah he was dragging the guy to the ground he was he was
54:33
pushing his control position he landed his own punches against the fence on the
54:38
way in like he was doing work yeah that was that was a frustrating one and and
54:44
it's seeing like watching without like you know
54:50
um with any kind of uh emotion you know to Fighters I can be
54:55
a little bit more more neutral but that one I was like am I not being neutral but I was like no I feel like I went
55:01
back and it's like no no like I'm not being I'm not being biased like that was that was a bad decision it was it was
55:07
okay good I'm glad I feel super biased by saying it but no no that's fair even
55:14
though you're also Wilson's friend but but it doesn't matter
55:24
partner and teammate for a while it doesn't matter we're still right
55:29
um should we talk about uh Yoshi Paris and after the break
55:35
just for a second maybe I mean you'll have to tune in and see what we talk about yeah I mean we could talk about anything we could talk about Jess's new
55:42
boot we haven't talked about that yet uh preview some exciting upcoming fights
55:48
oh and we can do uh fight Camp update see how miserable I am right now
55:57
let's do it all right uh if you're not subscribed you are you know what
