let's go hey we're off to a great start
0:15
and hello welcome to our bi-weekly episode of
0:23
yes all the synchronicity we've known each other for so long oh my
0:29
God this happens like all the time it's like you know exactly
0:39
you know I was asking for too much
0:44
how's it going um you know it's going it's going pretty good yeah getting ready for Thanksgiving
0:50
Day you know my my abs are safely secured under like a lair right now so
0:56
I'm just gonna add on to it nice nice double layer they make it really difficult for me when it's time to get
1:03
back into Camp because I just signed about agreement hey can we like get the Deets yet or is
1:11
it still like a secret because you know they don't look when you talk about it before I mean well it's signed
1:18
but I don't know I mean I don't know if anybody really [ __ ] cares maybe we'll
1:24
save it for the exclusive Fight Pass extra I think that's what we'll do yeah
1:31
yeah just in case we get in trouble for putting it on YouTube
1:37
but I'm excited for you so you got some time I'm assuming since you're layering
1:43
up yeah yeah you know just want to be a little comfy for the winter yeah you know it's cold in San Diego it's been
1:49
like freaking 50 degrees I know oh [ __ ] uh I wake up and I look at my
1:54
temperature and it's like 65 and I'm like heat heat I need it to be 80 degrees at all
2:02
times yeah I'm just completely spoiled in here yeah and I'm almost at fight
2:07
week you know so my body's fat index is pretty low right now I'm all sinew and
2:14
[ __ ] shin bone and skin and that's about it and abs and
2:21
absolutely oh my God whoa Angela I'll have to say that that's
2:27
for Fight Pass only sorry guys you weren't supposed to see all that I mean
2:32
there's nothing left though that's the set I mean they're wrapped up very nice nicely they're like they're you know there's a
2:40
nice packaging it's like when you get a fancy uh gift wrapped present but inside
2:46
it's just like a book do you know who [ __ ] does that is my stepmom she will
2:51
send me like you know a box or like a care package and it's like an a Vera Wang box and I'm like what the [ __ ] oh
2:58
and then I open it up and it's cookies yeah I'm like thanks just like more layers
3:05
these are very expensive cookies they cost me five bucks each oh man yeah one time she sent me
3:12
something in like a Chanel box and it was like not a Chanel purse oh
3:17
she just needed the Box she bought she got what was inside the Box yeah and
3:23
then you know she was like this is a great box I can wrap
3:28
Jess's cookies in it yeah I was like I asked my dad I was like Hey Dad um
3:34
I love I love me some Nancy but can you ask her to please not get me any gifts
3:40
anymore I just I mean they're just gonna end up in Goodwill I like doing the opposite I like getting those joke
3:45
presents no joke present get uh gift boxes you know what I mean
3:51
so you can buy like joke present gift boxes like there was one that it was
3:57
like I don't know it was something stupid like a a toilet brush or
4:04
something you know it'll be something silly like oh you can poop on the road or like it's it'll be like some silly
4:13
product that you're like oh there's no way that this actually exists and he opened it something nice it's not like
4:19
uh you know a bedpan that you use in the car it's actually a nice watch or
4:25
something like that so I like doing that I like doing the joke GIF box but then inside it's way
4:33
better than what you expected even if it's not that good yeah I mean I I feel like that would be
4:39
like you know acceptable I like to lower their expectations and then when they
4:44
open it they're like oh yeah at least it's not what I thought it was
4:50
and not the other way around I get that I like that idea I do I do so that's
4:55
what my boobs are right now my boobs are the Chanel box with
5:02
the you know the snickerdoodles
5:08
two little snickerdoodles yep they didn't rise in the oven you
5:13
know what all you need is you know all you need is a little Mound eight to make you happy just a little bit no just a
5:19
little bit just a little something to play with yeah well let's let's move on from my body dysmorphia and let's talk
5:27
about some fights huh
5:40
uh recap to UFC 281. many people had a
5:45
bit of a rough night that night oh yeah yeah I mean we can start I mean it was
5:50
that was great fights though yeah they're rough nights rough night
5:56
other guy yeah we've all been there so but we can
6:03
mention um Carolina previous opponent yes I love
6:09
I know that it bothers you how much I love her but I love her weird
6:14
oh whatever you're weird whatever um I just feel like she wouldn't you
6:21
know kill plants if I gave them to her like you did oh well I feel like uh Dakota wouldn't either
6:33
would buy a new plant after she killed an act like it was the one you gave her
6:38
because she's a fake [ __ ] I've heard oh from people okay okay I
6:44
haven't heard anything I I just feel like we would be friends now you know you know no maybe maybe
6:53
um you know I could get a number for you after uh whoop that ass next week I'll get it myself it's fine
7:04
uh uh I am I don't know it's really hard for me to like get down with past
7:10
opponents like it it really is I just I don't know you know what I'm
7:16
you know getting older and wiser and wow yeah I've just
7:24
um I've learned to appreciate some of my past opponents their Journey their
7:30
individual pursuit of the same goals that you're pursuing yeah I mean not a
7:36
lot of I would like there's like one or two there's one or two I get that I get
7:42
that it's just hard for me to I don't know see myself bonding with
7:47
someone who I fought because I'm always going to be thinking about especially if
7:52
I lost I'm always thinking about like man [ __ ] you you know
7:58
like I'm always like I always feel like I'd want to punch him in the back of the head at some point while we're hanging
8:05
out you know I'm Petty that's that's that's a problem that's something I have to work on maybe I need therapy or
8:10
something but I mean take it off yeah yeah you know just to get over that but
8:16
I think once I retire because I'll I'll be watching someone and hating on them
8:21
like a [ __ ] and as soon as they move up a weight class I'm like hey girl she's so cool
8:27
like yo I never noticed how cute she was like oh my God I love her style like as
8:33
soon as they move up a weight class I get that and then when they talk about going back down like [ __ ] that [ __ ] no
8:39
I get it yeah I'm just saying one or two yeah okay
8:44
okay I think I think we can both Bond on that then yeah yeah so Carolina she was
8:51
actually fighting someone who I recently bonded with uh sylvana Juarez she trains
8:58
at uh interim so so weird that you just said that you bonded with somebody in
9:03
your weight class well that I didn't fight we fought in the gym so that's
9:09
different that's like that's like Warriors training you know to fight like
9:15
another team of Warriors you know what I mean like you're on a battlefield in in
9:21
order to get to the battlefield and have a successful battle and win the war you
9:27
have to fight your friends and learn and grow together right now oh okay I mean
9:32
I'm just saying we're warriors on the same Battlefield where you keep making friends in your weight class you're not
9:38
gonna have uh many more people to fight honey because you've already fought everybody in the division hey as long as they're not ranked I think I'll be okay
9:45
I stay away from the ranked girls okay yeah so uh she was fighting a girl
9:53
that I got to dream of an intram and there was like a little bit of weirdness I was just gonna bring that up
9:58
afterwards like what the [ __ ] was that were they thinking okay so if you guys
10:04
don't know what we're referring to which I'm pretty sure everybody does and I still don't exactly understood Stan what
10:10
exactly was going on but basically they were about to announce you know who won
10:15
the fight and it was it was a pretty close fight I mean I I gave it to Carolina yeah but you know it
10:23
it you could look at it from another perspective like I don't know I don't know we've seen crazier decisions if
10:29
like if it had gone to sylvana we've seen you've seen worse way worse yeah yeah
10:35
um but you know then then one of the judges comes running in to the octagon and grabs the paper and starts writing
10:43
the the numbers and you're like clearly they they miscored something or maybe they were like oh wait that wasn't the
10:50
girl oh that's the girl oh my bad I'm not exactly sure what they were thinking but basically they corrected the
10:58
scorecards like in the Octagon it was it was just so wild how something crazy
11:04
always happens in New York [ __ ] New York New York they're [ __ ] they're
11:10
insane and my my guy my commissioner oh was like in there and I just saw him
11:16
like hovering standing over them like at every aspect and I was just like bro
11:22
just back up you see the other guy he's giving the other guy some space is that the guy that was like giving you hell
11:29
when you did your Medicals and stuff no who's your commissioner
11:36
I forget who the commissioner was but I saw him he was the bald guy yeah but what what was your experience with him
11:42
when you guys when you fought in Long Island it was just um it was a lot he was nice enough but he was a lot like
11:51
there was not a lot of space Oh yeah the guy in our in the warm-up room yes ah
11:57
okay and so in New York the the commissioner is like your commissioner the whole time right and he took his job
12:03
very seriously like he was up in my space the whole time and so anytime
12:09
you're um you're sitting on the stool in between rounds they have to go in there
12:14
and you know when I uh walked into the Octagon for the first time he was there
12:20
standing next to me and then when I got out of the Octagon he was there waiting
12:26
and I'm just like my God take a break guy but then you look at the other Commissioners and they were a little bit
12:31
more relaxed they're a little bit more chill they were like you know ugly things they're all slacking maybe
12:39
maybe uh he won Employee of the Month yeah he
12:45
was yeah he was trying to get that gold star oh man um I hope he got it because he might
12:51
have got it that night he might have got it at 281 man because it sounds like he was all up in their business making sure
12:57
something happened even if it was in view of the millions
13:02
of people watching no the people in New York that pissed me off for the freaking doctors I was like come on ah yeah come
13:09
on guys yep I'm angry I'm dehydrated just don't make me try and do math reverse
13:15
and memorize things and I I don't know I'm like ask me after I've had something
13:21
to eat yeah preferably a carb I'll be in a much better mood just one carb just just give me a car break
13:28
God just stop stop asking me questions oh man I would barely know the answer to these if I was fully hydrated and had
13:36
food exactly it was rough yeah New York can be a little much and I think it's because they're new too they're new to
13:42
it they're one of the last states to legalize MMA so the commission is still
13:48
a few years behind the other ones that started especially one like Vegas where
13:54
it's been you know illegal mma's been legal for the longest that's very nice of you but they've been doing boxing forever boxing is different then they
14:02
try to apply boxing rules to MMA like remember our Pro our poor friend uh Pro
14:07
Gonzalez they they all areas
14:13
business and I mean obviously it's not a big deal well now it's not yeah thank
14:19
goodness because you're your new bestie in Tijuana has fakies
14:24
who knows they're huge oh man I got at her because I don't have
14:31
boobs I gotta say they they do mess up uh you know when I'm trying to hit that uppercut
14:37
in the middle like blocked all right come on get those things out the way
14:45
so you got like more you got more hands to Parry things you know like
14:51
it's a little more difficult hitting the angle and trying to split up the middle it was strategic yeah yeah it
14:58
is I think it worked out for her a little bit in the fight at least um but yeah it's obviously not a problem
15:04
because probe was able to fight you know after declaring it and they made a big fuss and like got news articles out
15:11
about it um and you know my girl was able to fight Carolina but that image of the
15:18
commissioner writing the score card and like xing out his math and changing it
15:24
is so iconic like it's so funny and the only thing that makes me mad because I
15:31
feel like they got the scores right but the only thing that makes me mad is imagine how many times they [ __ ] up
15:37
and they didn't run it and fix it right why would you why would you say that
15:42
it's wrong you know like what there there's no um what do you call it accountability for the Commissioners to
15:49
fix an escape a mistake that they made you know the judges the commission whatever so that part makes me mad
15:56
because it's so easy to [ __ ] up and who's gonna check and we just saw it firsthand yeah we saw it so I wonder
16:03
like if we could go back in the logs of fight cards and like you know redo the
16:08
math and see if there's a possibility that they were added up and properly
16:13
it's possible it's been a lot of wacky decisions this year alone so at this okay
16:23
yeah but anyway it was a good fight it was a lot of back and forth uh Carolina's still showing wrinkles to her
16:29
game she has a ground game now so she's mixing that in really well and uh Silvana has that dog in her so she was
16:36
like hanging in there came forward real nice in the third round it was a good fight um another crazy chick fight on that
16:43
card was McCann versus Aaron blanchfield oh
16:50
a girl Molly no our poor girl I was like what
16:55
why did she do that blanchfield uh blanchfield right yes I think so yeah
17:00
I'll double check but go on because you know how great at like mixing up names going on with your thoughts while I
17:07
check on the name she I mean it you know on paper you could see that it would
17:13
possibly be you know Striker versus Grappler and Molly has a possibility of you know getting the knock down or knock
17:20
out because she has great striking and blanchfield is more of you know a Grappler and man she came out she gave
17:27
Molly no space none no space none Adam can you take the
17:33
chip from the dog thank you sir
17:41
no you cannot have what's your name butcher get for sure go lay down it's a no go
17:48
it looks at camera oh buddy he's coming back he's like they
17:54
were not letting me play yeah blanchfield uh she's just a really good
17:59
Grappler though and I hope that Molly Isn't discouraged from being just kind
18:05
of dominated like that but I think blanchfield is going to show and she's shown in her past fights she's a monster
18:12
especially once she gets it to the ground like she's she's nasty she's heavy on top she knows how to hold
18:18
position and get to a good spot where she can throw punches throw Bulls I was surprised that they let the fight go on
18:25
that long I was wondering I was having flashbacks of who was it BJ Penn when he was getting punched on but I think like
18:33
Matt Hughes was it um and I was like he was in the crucifix position I was like are they gonna is
18:39
this gonna stop um but like to be fair she wasn't taking
18:44
hard shots but there were just so many shots unanswered so I had the same thing
18:49
in my mind I was like I don't know I mean technically like it could go on it's kind of like sparring punches yeah
18:56
but she was just completely like in such a vulnerable position and was just not
19:02
able to get out or Mount any kind of offense or proper defense really but um
19:08
but yeah I mean I wasn't mad at it I wasn't mad that they let it go on that long because I'm like well it doesn't
19:15
look like Molly's mad about it either like she's taking the blows but she's really just stuck you know so once
19:23
Blanchard was able to get that submission like okay well you know she she tried her best she did her best and
19:30
she looked really tough in there just eating all those shots and it reminded me of uh Liz carmouche's
19:37
um title shot that she had Bellator it was the same position but in this fight
19:44
the ref saw the punches it went on for maybe 10 15 seconds most and they jumped
19:50
and stopped it and there was only a little bit of time left on in the round so I'm like huh I wonder what the
19:57
difference is like I wonder if that was just an early stoppage or if
20:03
the ref and Molly's case was looking for blood you know like they were having a
20:09
Steve mazzagati moment I mean it's possible yeah it's um you know I've we can be really hard on refs
20:16
and we can question what they're doing but at the same time like they they are human and and they have like
20:22
a really great view of what's going on for the most part sometimes I feel like they're drawn dicks in their minds
20:28
that's another you know time and place conversation like did I leave the oven
20:33
on it's always getting bubbled so let's get it fish hooked yes they're talking
20:39
about it or thinking about it um just to go with the early stoppages
20:45
though let's jump to the main the main event oh yeah do you want to start with Chandler and Mrs Poirier
20:53
yeah you know what [ __ ] it we're talking fish hooks
20:59
I've never seen a fish hook like that though bro it looked like he was trying
21:04
to take his mask off like I'm [ __ ] Scooby-Doo or something I think like it
21:11
looks like it's like at one point I felt like it was in his nostrils the other point it was like open his teeth I'm
21:16
like I would I would probably bite I know I might try and take a finger off I think he said he tried to but with that
21:23
gum shielding with the mouth Garden then you can't get a good enough like clinch
21:28
I mean I'll try yeah I would have probably tried to pop it out
21:35
and so uh I mean fish fish hooks aside though like
21:42
I have and I know this may be in poor form but I kind of have a I have a criticism for Chandler like man that boy
21:49
does not manage his gas tank he does not at all and I know in the sport it is
21:55
really important to be an exciting fighter and an Entertainer and all that kind of stuff but dude
22:02
like switch gears yeah you're not you know you're not like super green in
22:09
there like you you know like just pace yourself man I think it's
22:14
just hard when it's worked for you for so long you know like when he was in balleter just full steam ahead you know
22:21
never looking back never second guessing and always going first um in the Tony Ferguson fight he said he
22:29
didn't think about the kick he just said hey maybe I'll throw this push kick I've never thrown in training or inspiring or
22:36
on pads and he threw it and it [ __ ] worked you know so it's it's his Mo and
22:42
yeah it would have been good for him to slow down probably just to regain a
22:48
little bit of gas especially after that big sprint in the first round because that first round it was all him yeah or
22:55
was it the second round it might have been the second round but no I think it was the first round it was
23:02
all him he was there was a round where he was just on top he was scrambling
23:07
from one position to another and the gas tank thing is right because when he took
23:12
poire down it really felt like he could have settled at one point but he was
23:17
just kind of add down there you know he's just like I'm an armor no come on no I'm
23:23
gonna jump on the geez no I'm gonna end like hot still yeah Emporia is just sitting there like
23:30
kind of waiting for him to make his mind up you know so uh yeah I mean I gotta
23:36
agree with you um but if he did would that change his style
23:42
would that change what makes him special I mean I don't think so I think that he
23:47
is like I think he's a really talented explosive fighter and if he could just
23:52
hold back just like pull on the Range just a little bit he needs like one of
23:58
those uh prong colors right and I mean it's always I remember getting in to to
24:03
training and in the gym and stuff like that and they always I would always hear people say it's better to have somebody that you got to pull back than somebody
24:09
that you gotta like kick in the ass which which I agree you know but um
24:16
man I think it makes for a really exciting fight but like I can use uh
24:21
gaichi as an example he was one of those guys where you're like uh just like just chill the [ __ ] out just for a second
24:28
yeah take a breather and he's learned to like manage himself
24:33
a little bit better he's learned a little bit more defense he's learned a little bit like he's adding tools to his thing and it really hasn't taken away
24:39
from who he is as a fighter he's still extremely exciting he still lays it all on the line he's just a little bit more
24:45
refined and that's what I would really like to see in Chandler because man he
24:52
like I feel like he could have like really taken that fight yeah it definitely
24:59
looked like it it definitely looked like it um yeah he just emptied out the gas tank
25:04
and then even the round that he lost I'm still not sure if it was the second or
25:10
third I think it was the second even even the round that he lost he started
25:15
off in a great position he got him he got in on that single leg he lifted him
25:22
up but then lost it in the scramble and you have to think that his exhaustion
25:27
was part of the reason why that rear naked chill sunk in so easily because he
25:32
his nose was broken he's breathing heavy and then the arms slipped right in like
25:38
it was super easy compared to when he was on poory's back yeah so that I mean
25:44
Poirier is a master at controlling his
25:49
uh gas tank and just knowing when to push when to hang back like watching him
25:54
on his back was actually like a really good learning experience for anyone who
26:00
panics down there because he he was calm he was collected like his Corner was
26:05
yelling at him in between rounds but at no point was he in like great danger he
26:12
was always in control he was just waiting for his moment he was staying safe being patient rolling his eyes at
26:18
the referee which is my favorite moment of the fight I think he ate like two
26:24
punches to the back of the head and then his face is already covered in blood and he looks up at the ref and just like
26:30
gives him the death say he gave him the Jess ice he gave him the just look
26:36
I know that looks so well I was like oh he's mad
26:43
but this is after the fish hook I believe and he's covered in blood because Chandler threw a snot rocket oh
26:51
God it was so a bloody snot rocket all over his face and he's getting punched in the back of
26:57
the head and that was like the last straw he's just looking at the ref like
27:02
he's like really dude he's he's pissed but he's still calm he's controlling his
27:08
energy and I think I think that is one of poirier's best traits when he's in
27:13
trouble he's able to stay calm not panic stay safe and wait for his opportunity
27:19
to strike absolutely he's he's a vet he is a professional it's you know it's a
27:25
very admirable quality in him yeah definitely right I mean all that aside all
27:32
criticism but that was freaking fun fight it was such a fun fight I was so stressful I was like I am not invested
27:38
in either one of these people but oh my God yes you know it's a good fight where you feel yourself Clint
27:44
like your hands are a little sweaty oh yeah you see the fingerprints and the
27:49
couch they're like oh I didn't realize I was gripping it that hard
27:55
yeah start kind of swaying a little bit oh
28:01
yeah I know the feels yep yep I think we're
28:09
on the same page with that one yeah um and then what a hard act to follow
28:14
because next was Carla versus uh Whaley
28:20
Zang yeah and Carla was having her first title defense and
28:25
you know talk about rough nights it's a rough night rough night for a girl it
28:31
was yeah yeah yeah so how did you like that fight or what did you see what did you say
28:38
let's talk about what happened first um there were some really fun scrambles
28:43
um I am like very impressed with with both of their ability to just create space
28:52
and movement and uh really fight for position I thought that was really impressive
28:58
um what I saw starting to be an issue was Carla starting to go back and I was
29:05
like [ __ ] that's like the worst thing that she could probably
29:10
do she started going back and sort of like started getting pushed up against the fence a bit from from the pressure
29:16
from the strikes and I was like oh man if she can't get off of her heels and she can't start going forward and
29:22
fainting and going for more of those takedowns it's it's kind of close to the end yeah yeah what about you what did
29:28
you think um well you know that didn't throw up as much of a red flag for me because that
29:34
used to be her game she used to always take two steps back and then shoot
29:41
but I think Whaley was just very prepared for everything that Carla does
29:47
everything that Carla sits on like she always goes back especially when she's
29:52
uncomfortable she always goes back to the stuff that works her 100 chance
29:57
always gonna get it and her team uh Whaley's team just prepared really well
30:03
for that so when Carla hit that single and started climbing up and like held on
30:09
to the foot even though her head was in the canvas like Whaley knew exactly what to do because they must have drilled
30:16
that position a million times absolutely and I really like how she finished the
30:22
fight like I don't think many people saw that coming like that crucifix positions
30:28
and I rear naked it was kind of like um almost like a crucifix Bulldog choke
30:36
masterpiece like no it was it was really nice and a lot of people you know they get really stuck on like oh you have to
30:42
put the hooks in you have to be here you have to sometimes you just gotta choke the neck yeah just choke a [ __ ] just
30:47
choke them that's all you got to do just chokes just squeeze yeah it'll work yeah
30:52
and I did it was a really fun it was a it was a fun you know scramble to submission kind of scenario and and I
31:00
really enjoyed it I mean you know you hate to see someone from our management and someone from our season you know and
31:08
from our state yeah we have uh have a rough night but it was you know I
31:14
thought it was an exciting fight I think they they both put it all out there as much as they could and I was really
31:20
impressed yes wow it was a good fight and I think it it held up to the fact
31:25
that it was the coal main like everyone thought that Carlo was gonna get pummeled but in fact it was actually
31:31
more competitive and interesting than people put out on paper like I'm happy
31:37
that it ended in this Mission and I'm happy that you know Willie was able to get something that we don't always see
31:43
you know and we saw the crucifix a bunch so I feel like it's kind of trending in the BJJ world like uh uh she had um I'm
31:52
not sure what his name his full name is but hinger JJ Hangar BJJ or whatever
31:57
he's he's an atos guy she had him in his corner for that so he has great chokes
32:02
yeah really great jokes and that like crucifix position is something that like I see all the BJJ guys doing right now
32:09
yeah Josh hinger yes yeah he's coming to Legion a bit yeah yeah he's a cool guy
32:14
he's a real cool guy I like I like his Vibe very old school like hard work pays off kind of Jiu Jitsu guy I'm like yeah
32:23
yeah I can work hard yeah I respect that
32:30
um yeah so that was it was cool to see Whaley hit that in a in an MMA fight it makes uh makes it a notch for the
32:36
Jujitsu people as well absolutely yeah and then we had the main event which I'm
32:43
still sad about man what makes you sad Angela I like Izzy so much and he was winning
32:51
the fight like he was winning every moment of that fight he was until
32:57
how do you feel about the stoppage look I get it like I'm not mad at the
33:03
stoppage I understand why they stopped it but I also think that he would have
33:08
been okay if they didn't stop it um because at first like I feel like if
33:14
I was the ref I would have stopped it yeah at first when it's live when it's happening live you see him get hit he
33:21
stumbles against the fence then he's doing this and it looks like he's [ __ ]
33:26
up but in the replay it looks more like a bobbin and weaving
33:33
type of thing unless like he's concussed so that's why I'm like I probably would
33:39
have stopped it if I were the ref but I don't think he's lying when he said he was okay
33:46
yeah I get that I don't know but like no I I totally get that yeah you want to take
33:53
him out his word and you know but I've seen a lot of people concussed and not okay and say that they're okay when they
34:00
kind of weren't it's hard when he was moving in that way which we've seen him
34:05
play against the cage and you know do a lot of weaving and Bob and head movement
34:11
and all that kind of stuff the thing that kind of got me leaning towards like ah was a good stoppage is because his
34:16
head was like completely down and his arms were like not as controlled as they
34:21
normally are so I was just like you know maybe maybe I don't know yeah I I don't know we
34:29
won't know I'm sure there will be a quick rematch you know just to make sure
34:35
um I think that or I mean maybe there won't be I don't know I would yeah because
34:41
there's a lot of new Mad tips to be made now that arasanga isn't there he pretty
34:47
much cleaned out the division which is why parea had the opportunity to fight him in the first place so now he's there
34:55
now he's the champ he could fight someone else and people would still be very interested in seeing it because
35:01
he's a knockout artist like he will save all this energy for the one blow it
35:07
takes to knock you out like he'll just wait he'll block he'll Dodge and just kind of try to close close off all the
35:15
distance between you trap you in a little box and then boom yeah and it's nasty like what like
35:23
a hook or uppercut just boom right through your guard and all you need to take is one and you're on that is
35:31
wobbled he's biggest he is huge dude why is he so big how huge how is he on the
35:39
the secret juice maybe he was the Acosta the Palo Costa secret juice plan that
35:46
Patty pimlet apparently created for him have you heard of that no tell me so
35:51
podcast is sold secret juice thing apparently Patty pimlet
35:57
shared with him a way to cut weight like his method of losing so much weight in a
36:03
short amount of time and Costa calls it the secret juice so he's always walking around with this jug of secret juice and
36:09
he's always drinking it during press conferences and stuff obviously it's a joke but yeah I think it really has the
36:15
stuff in there that Patty gave him so now I'm curious if that's circulating
36:20
especially now that Costa has a hold of it he's probably sharing it with all his Brazilian friends I mean
36:28
that is something to uh look into I think we needed a little bit of
36:34
investigating I have a source that I feel like could give us a little oh website you know who I'm talking about
36:40
who I cannot reveal ah yeah the the uh are
36:46
they Brazilian no oh okay but they know they know they know uh the
36:53
homie Patty so oh yes okay we're gonna have to dig deep into that no I know
36:58
what you're talking about yeah yeah yeah yes we're gonna have to investigate and come back later probably behind our
37:04
fight pass paywall I didn't tell you guys what we found out
37:09
exactly um yeah that it was a really good fight though um I'm curious to know what you
37:15
thought about the grappling in the main event no
37:21
no why did you like it no I'm just impressed by it Angela no I'm just I I I
37:27
am a striking snob and it amuses me to hear grappling
37:34
sloths slobs grappling snobs talk about
37:39
grappling slobs you like how I turned that around like I
37:44
didn't just [ __ ] up the word laughs what did you think about it
37:54
describe it the way Hemingway would I am not that eloquent uh maybe after a
38:01
couple glasses of wine yes anyway so it's like
38:07
anyone can look good against someone who really sucks
38:13
was that eloquent enough for you which one was good what do you think which would look good and which one looks
38:19
lucky which one do you think Angela Hill they both had their moments
38:24
listen listen
38:33
it's I don't know maybe if this was tequila you're so pained right now I know I love
38:40
it it's just yeah okay so arastania showed some new you know
38:45
some new stuff some cool stuff you know he showed the ability to take the fight to the ground and do a little something
38:52
but
38:58
okay I won't I won't make you talk about it anymore it really does look like it's hurting it hurts me it's hurting I'm
39:05
getting like a stomachache I'm seriously all right that aims me next time we have
39:10
a ghost you can do the same to me okay but but going off of that so what um
39:18
what what the oh my God what is this [ __ ] name yes thank you okay
39:26
I just I'm getting old I've been hitting the head a lot just leave me alone oh uh but he did show some some patience he
39:35
did show some you know um you know smart moves you stayed safe
39:44
but like if I put him against a really strong wrestler or like a really strong Grappler and they can get him down I'm
39:50
like oh yeah and like it kind of showed what you need to work on so who do you think is going to make him the most
39:58
vulnerable at that week I mean I kind of want to see him against Whitaker oh
40:04
yeah I'd like to see because Whitaker like when he fought Izzy the second time he fought him how I thought he should
40:10
have fought him the first time which was he had a great timing on those takedowns and it got as he down now Izzy is is
40:17
long and he has enough you know defense understanding to start making it
40:23
difficult however I just thought it was like really impressive with Whitaker's
40:29
timing when he started really committing to those takedowns and I think that he could give better
40:40
it's like it's like I want to pet your hair [Laughter]
40:45
[Music] so I'd like to see that but I mean
40:52
um I mean who else who else who else you're putting me on the spot now I know I need to look at the list but I like
40:59
the Whitaker fight too I think that's really interesting yeah I mean I'm not saying that he can you know I mean the
41:04
header is like a pretty dangerous Striker he has great knees he has great timing great punches and stuff like that
41:10
but he stands super tall yes um and it just looks like there could be some people that could get in on those
41:17
hips yes I agree um yeah when somebody stands like that
41:23
it definitely makes it easier for someone like a Whitaker to plan out when to shoot yeah yeah because I think
41:30
arasanga's best takedown defense is his footwork he's always switching stands he's always sidestepping he's always
41:36
setting up counters and uh really loading his legs in a way where people
41:42
don't expect it so he can take his leg away but also load a punch or load a kick as he's doing it and it's scary
41:49
it's scary to change levels on someone like that oh yeah he's adopted his striking style really well to MMA yeah
41:55
and it's something you don't really have to do in kickboxing like you don't have to worry about the hiding your legs as
42:02
much you know yeah you have to check kicks and stuff and you know be aware of counters but you don't have to worry
42:09
about someone grabbing your leg while it's on the ground and that's like a big thing that a lot of kickboxers have to
42:15
adapt to for sure um so I think now is the time for sure to start
42:22
getting those wrestlers in like if you're a wrestling you need to be like calling up dating like hey hey get me in
42:28
there now before he learns how to Grapple you know before he learns how to move his legs and make himself a little
42:35
more elusive or at least get back up in a in a safe and fast way or learn how to
42:40
play Maybe Against the Cage so you can use that like yes to your advantage more
42:45
yeah but I did like his super strong takedown that he hit I figured which round it was maybe like the second round
42:52
or something but uh adasanya had been trying to get him down the entire round
42:57
just mixing and takedowns and it seemed like really taxing for Izzy but then
43:03
when pajeda went he just went I'm bushed like just ran and slammed his head into
43:08
the cage grabbed the leg and just said I'm taking this with me and it's kind of like a dog with a bone like sometimes
43:14
the takedown isn't pretty but you just say you know what I'm making him a [ __ ]
43:20
right now and that's that's kind of what he did he just took his leg and he was like you're not getting your leg back and then he had to uh re-energy up yes
43:29
am tired it's gonna take me a few rounds to get back into this but you know he he made
43:36
it in the fifth he did you know up there it just took him a while you know what I didn't even think about that as being
43:42
the reason why he needed so much recharge because he was getting hit with uh body shots and stuff he had like a
43:49
little bit of a Sprint uh into striking but yeah that is definitely gonna take a
43:54
lot out of you the first takedown he has ever landed ever in his life and he was like oh my God
44:00
this is why I don't do this [ __ ] exactly exactly so I'm trying to look up the UFC
44:06
middleweight uh people but this thing isn't given it to me but yes I do like
44:13
the um I do like the Whitaker fight and I think
44:18
I remember him calling for it immediately after um he was also he was also on the mic
44:27
saying dude that guy is huge yes he's huge he is very big he's ginormous he's
44:33
very big well I mean we have a whole nother fight card to talk about oh we do yeah I guess we can revisit this later
44:40
yeah but I mean it wasn't like the best card so we could just talk about a
44:46
couple fights this was what should have been UFC Lewis versus Spivak Lewis got a
44:52
little sticky pants he got a little he had to go boo-boo little tummy issue yeah that's a Lewis quote I'm not just
45:00
saying he had to poop he's very open with his you know his
45:07
body functions yes yes he's an open book yes so his cheeks okay he opened
45:15
um it was supposed to be Lewis versus Spivak but that card that fight got canceled after the card started yeah so
45:24
they didn't even have time to change any of the posters or Graphics or anything
45:29
like that they just kept it going sorry I was distracted by the by the
45:36
robed man oh my God who's the guy the Playboy guy
45:42
and Hugh Hefner yeah walking in here like jacket yes rub hey ladies
45:50
keep the show going I'll heat up the hot tub that's for the
45:56
exclusive contest yes make sure you subscribe well hey let's uh get on this
46:02
card um on our exclusive content now that you
46:07
mention it well then I guess we'll be right back and we'll be right back for all you non-cheap listeners for Tisha
