all right I think it's perfectly up it keeps popping out no it keeps and then I can't tell which way when when you do
0:12
that yeah it does before you touched it it was perfect it's CU I keep trying to fix the wrong side because it's not a
0:18
mirror it's a it's a thing you got a mirror girl that's the only way that's why you keep messing up the two straws
0:24
thing hey it's us two straws I think you had I think that's it
0:31
oh no you go you did an intro go go yeah that's my thing uh we have a really special guest um our good friend
0:38
training partner and now fellow straw weight we have a meatball Molly McCain
0:44
and we're GNA bring her onto the stage right now hello lovely hello guys Hi how are
0:52
you doing what time is it over there it's 800 p.m. I've had a nice roas in
1:00
I've had a nice milkshake get be back up to fly away no
1:09
no no no no no but I've enjoyed I didn't enjoy making 115 for the first time but
1:15
it'll be easier the second I think I say what was your process did you rely on
1:21
the pi a lot did you Dy it down like where did you come from if you don't mind us asking so I was 63 kilo at my
1:29
heaviest which would probably been about 140 and then I think that's a video that
1:35
you put on on yeah you felt late well felt like way like I was like not not
1:41
too she's just a good training partner she knows how to like you know loaded
1:47
you loaded yourself on me and but I think on fight
1:52
week on the on the Sunday when I started to
1:57
watero I was like s pound over and then I I stayed on carbs the
2:04
whole week um I three times on the thday and the night before I cut two and a
2:10
half pound slept a pound off so I only cut three and a half really the day
2:16
before that's beautiful that's an amazing I finally had ABS see them oh we
2:24
saw them girl that's all we were staring at Angela wasn't even watching you fight she was just watching the ABS that's
2:29
what you said was yeah you said I'm more impressed with Molly's OBS than the
2:35
armar oh you muted
2:41
yourself you're still muted there you go there you go there you go
2:49
me were popping I was so impressed because it's not something that you've
2:54
had before like when's the last time you had ABS I must have been about seven
3:02
malnourished you know when when everyone was that broke no had food growing up yeah like like then yeah yeah no I know
3:10
those abs I've had those abs that's amazing I mean you had to
3:16
have been impressed with yourself not just with your performance but your physique and your ability to get in to
3:22
straw weight fight shape yeah I think G is like I just I I think you know with me
3:30
and Patrick we always fight for the fans and it's always about Liverpool and it's always there's so much pressure and I
3:38
think I just thought [ __ ] it I'm only fighting for myself now like no one else
3:43
matters like you might have have had this kind of moments in your career
3:49
where so the penny just drops and you just think like thaty it's all about me now I'm going to be selfish I'm not
3:55
going to care about anyone else it's my career and I'm doing doing it and I
4:00
think you see like the whole fight week I was just different I was just I'm not going to be emotional everyore anymore
4:07
I'm just cold and that's me from now on I like that you got to give yourself
4:13
permission at times you know yeah how um what what where did that
4:19
shift come from did you come to that on your own did you get like any guidance
4:24
or anything like that to prepare mentally or yeah that yeah do you know I actually don't a lot of um therapy for
4:31
this after me lost fight I done a lot of therapy and it was PTSD therapy for for
4:38
athletes so if you imagine when we get beat the the level of like I know it's
4:47
not but we would feel it as athletes the level of humiliation and shame that we would feel is like so high and um and
4:56
like the the shame and the the trauma like I remembered I was getting contracts for fights and being so
5:02
[ __ ] scared to lose especially when they was in England I be like that oh
5:08
and then I wouldn't even enjoy the camp and I wouldn't really enjoyed the fight that's why when I would win I'm that
5:14
ecstatic because that's that much stress is off my shoulders but I I worked with
5:19
this guy called Martin and um and he really helped me through and we kind of
5:25
cleared the blockage and the trauma cycle I I kept feeling and it felt like do you remember girls
5:32
in tough when you probably went into tough and you was like I'm going to be the next world champion and everything
5:37
was new and flashy and you was just like I've got this and and you just enjoyed it like I felt like I was back there I
5:45
felt like I was back at the beginning and um and maybe because it was at straw
5:50
weight it was a fresh start and that's how I feel like I've kind of got through it it's funny you said that because my
5:57
journal says exactly that from I kept a journal and tough because they took away all our books all our media we couldn't
6:05
watch TV so I kept journal for a first time and it's legit those silly little
6:12
delusional thoughts that get a lot of people to the top get a lot of people to being undefeated and when you lose that
6:19
it's really hard to get that back so it's really cool that you uh started doing sports therapy I I actually
6:25
started doing Sports Therapy too and um going into a fight with the proper tools
6:31
is such a big advantage over the person that you were without them yeah I think
6:37
if not the way he was explain it explaining it to me is like you're just
6:43
stuck in the cycle of trauma consistently and what we actually came to realize is my trauma comes from
6:51
obviously most combat athletes bless you on and most combat athletes have a
6:58
really traumatic upbringing and um and I think there's been loads of studies that endurance
7:05
athletes and combat athletes had really traumatic Beginnings to life that's why
7:10
they can keep pushing through like the hard part of training and competition
7:15
and it basically was like daddy issues for me um he just said like your abandonment issues from a
7:22
child attached themselves to fighting so when you'd be in the gym and compete and
7:28
do something right you'd feel a connection with your coach because they'd be like well done well
7:33
done and that was like when you felt content and felt happy so when you
7:39
started fighting and you lost you'd feel like how you did as a kid when kind of nobody
7:45
saw you or you was you felt them abandonment um like that trauma so it
7:51
was like we need to we'll go to work first on the fight and then we'll go back to the trauma of being a kid and
7:58
what you went through and I'm Waking it through all that I kept being like in that fight Camp [ __ ] hell I'm really
8:05
not nervous here like I'm I'm sleeping eight hours a night where normally I know you have had it especially on them
8:12
big Pay-Per-View fight cards or against an opponent when you know it's going to be a tough night in the office you can't
8:18
sleep very well you get like shy sleep and I was having like eight to 10 hours a night and I was like nice oh my God is
8:25
this what like normal life is for normal people regulars with their regular hours of
8:33
[Laughter] sleep I think it's beautiful that you really started to take that Journey a
8:39
lot of people don't I know I started fighting and it was therapeutic for me
8:45
but the Band-Aid stopped sticking you know so I started having to do that kind of work what exactly did that process
8:51
look like if you care to share just um I think that vulnerability creates a lot of opportunity for other people to you
8:58
know reach out and help them M themselves as well 100% um do you know
9:03
we have like the imaf the international MMA Federation so the head of the
9:10
English um Squad his name was Martin and
9:16
um he's actually took a step down now but when I became a coach on the national team he said like if you ever
9:22
need help like let let me know and um after me last fight when I lost to Julius St aleno by AR
9:29
that was me like I was like I am done like I got like Ian Gary level of hate
9:35
online do you know what I mean I was just
9:45
like going mine mine
9:51
is she's like who who the [ __ ] that who's that
9:58
SCA she scared she's a girl what say yeah after that fight I
10:04
was just destroyed and I reached out to him in the end and I was like look I
10:10
know what I went through as a young patient will'll have to be unraveled one
10:16
day but whilst I'm fighting I can't go there cuz if you'd open up Pandora's Box you don't know if it's going to stay
10:22
open or if you can close it or even if you can deal with it so I just thought
10:27
no I won't deal with that right now so he was like okay we won't do cognitive behavioral therapy we'll do something
10:33
else called a mind mapping and brain spoton so brain spot is
10:40
basically you put like same frequency of music on and he would tell me like what
10:49
what what you want to work through and I was like I want to work through the shame and the embarrassment and the
10:56
guilt that I feel for lose and he was like like think about them
11:02
moments when you was in the cage and I'd think about it and he'd be like how does that make you feel and I was just saying
11:09
like devastated as shame blah blah blah blah blah and he was like tell me what you what your bodies do and and I was
11:15
like my heart's beating fast I get an overwhelming feel of like uh I'm going to be sick in my belly like that's the
11:21
worst part and I can't think straight like me train of thought would break off
11:27
and then it's hard for me to think and recycle the thought and think again and then he got this like long stick out and
11:34
had like a red pointer at the end and he was like literally moving it side to side and he said when your body feels
11:41
something just let me know and I was like are you messing and he was going no
11:47
and I was like I can't feel [ __ ] all is this a joke going no just keep trying just keep trying so kept trying and then
11:55
when it went there I just Lo he went don't move don't move cuz he could see
12:01
he see like my eyes flicking and he said keep the music on keep thinking about
12:06
that moment of Julia breaking your arm um when you looked around and you was looking at 20,000 people like and all
12:14
this and keep thinking about all the messages you read online etc etc I must have looked at that pointer for 40
12:21
minutes and then honestly I was starting to fall asleep and then he'd move the
12:26
pointer again and then we go back to the same point and he said tell me how you feel now I was like a little a little
12:32
bit less but not much difference he's like right stay there and then my eyes was just leaking like so when Sean stck
12:40
says like he doesn't cry like his eyes were leaking like I wasn't I wasn't crying but my eyes was leaking and we
12:48
must have been out for like two and a half hours and then he said right I want you to go to sleep now cuz you're going
12:53
to keep processing you're going to keep processing and then when I woke up he
12:58
ranged me know was like I have to check in um the day after just to make sure you haven't got any suicidal thought
13:04
blah blah blah I was like no I feel on top of the world he's like excellent and then the next week we done it again and
13:11
again and again and like there was moments where I wouldn't feel a lot but I'd feel
13:17
lter and then there was moments on and just where I was just like I remember
13:23
once we done one session and I was angry and I was angry with with people in me
13:28
like when I was a lot younger and um I came off the phone and I cried and me
13:35
fiance Ellis had to hold me and I mean must have screamed for about six hours like ah like prop like someone had died
13:43
and I woke up the next day and I was like that is such a big bit of trauma that has proper left my body like proper
13:50
gone and then I was kind of fine from fine from then to be honest sessions a
13:56
little bit shter less tense but I haven't gone I haven't fell back into
14:02
any of them Tendencies you know after after the last fight when I won I
14:08
started getting anxious again because the second I got home I was the big deal
14:13
again everyone was back on me dick you know like oh meatball and I was just like yeah [ __ ] off weird have you been
14:20
for the last year [ __ ] off do to know what I mean of course so I've said I
14:26
want to work on I want to be able to enjoy my life without being anxious if I'm losing or if I'm winning so I've got
14:33
another session on Wednesday and it's a lot more positive this time
14:39
round it's uh it's important though because a lot of times it's easy to fall
14:46
off once something works it's easy to get too hype because something works and
14:51
feel like oh I'm cured as opposed to continuing to do the hard looks at
14:56
yourself and and keep yourself at a even plane so that you're not spiking from
15:02
the high of winning or dipping low from the suck of losing and um you know uh
15:09
that's interesting that you said that he called you to ask if you were having suicidal thoughts is is the that
15:16
practice really extreme do people a lot of times uh dip really low after doing
15:22
that because it does seem like a really hard thing to do to just stare at this point that's been upsetting you and face
15:27
it yeah I think um if I like I've been quite honest about it before but I think
15:35
before I lost to eron Blan field like when me and py went on this big te together I had I was like proper having
15:42
suicidal like thought like and the Wales was at my feet like we was just so bed
15:49
out like the UFC had us go and go and go and it was after the scene used and trained with used um in San Diego I came
15:57
home and it was just like I just remember ringing my mom like Mom I keep having
16:04
these dreams that I'm going to do myself in and like I feel so overwhelmed every
16:09
day I haven't got the coping mechanisms and the tools to cope with this life
16:14
like I have gone from a girl about town who's known to like known around the
16:20
world and I don't have boundar set place where I can be like not today no thank
16:26
you I'm just like yeah of course yeah no problem blah blah blah and it just got to a point where I was just [ __ ] and
16:33
when I told Martin how low I've got he was like I will always check in to see
16:39
if you've ever had that notion again um and I think that's a really good sign of a good therapist you know someone who's
16:46
really in tune someone who's competed at the highest level they kind of just
16:51
know um you know but I also think what we processed and the trauma that I fac as a
16:58
child was pretty like rough so I think he was just checking in that it hadn't I
17:06
suppose some people might get caught up in it as well and if they don't process it and work through it they might be
17:12
stuck in that cycle still you know yeah well you get a a lot of suicide in in
17:18
the fight Community um a p opponent of mine who i' I feel like maybe you knew
17:24
her or but a lot of people that I know knew her um Ashley Nichols she committed
17:30
suicide just a few days ago and yeah do you know you knew her yeah well I never
17:36
met her but but I yeah was she on tough
17:42
I'm not I don't think she was on tough it is Ashley Nicholls she's a indigenous uh fighter out of Canada she was Muay
17:49
Tha fighter I fought her in Muay Thai and then she transitioned to MMA and um
17:56
I did a post about her and like maybe 10 girls that I trained with knew her
18:02
either trained with her or fought her or just knew her she was on a tear like you
18:08
were saying she was on a three-fight win streak um and it doesn't matter you know
18:13
the pressure if it's looming it builds and whether you're on a high or a low it
18:19
it can overtake you so I'm really happy that you had people to talk to because I
18:24
think a lot of times there's a stigma in the ma Community or in fight Community
18:30
where you feel like you're weak for reaching out for saying you need help um
18:35
as much as we focus on mental awareness like there's still always going to be that mind that voice in the back of your
18:41
head saying don't say [ __ ] don't be a little bit and and it's it's just chemicals it's just a it's a reaction to
18:48
trauma it's a reaction to the stress that we put on ourselves so I'm I'm really happy that you were able to get
18:54
the help you needed and find people qualified to talk to cuz um you know it
19:01
can go the wrong way for so many people and it's in it's kind of a common theme I hear a lot of Fighters dying young for
19:08
those reasons yeah I think [ __ ] hell what we do isn't normal is it like we
19:15
put ourselves in these positions which is fight or flight continuously and um yeah and
19:23
it's I don't know like I say everyone who probably doing what we do promly is being through quite a lot so I think you
19:30
get to your mid 30s and then you've had enough of your own [ __ ] what I mean or like maybe
19:37
even before but I I kind of like I think men are a little bit later on than women
19:43
I think men like reach their bit like a little bit after us and then you always see them have like a bit of a midlife
19:49
crisis where I think the women take I think we get it a bit more waste for
19:55
everything online and everything else and I just think we just deal with it a lot quicker we're quick to analyze and
20:01
assess and fix I think there's an even bigger stigma attached to males in the sport
20:08
like you have to be strong you have to be this you have to be that so do women but I think that females just in general
20:15
it's a little bit easier for us to be vulnerable for us to reach out for help before men before get bad
20:25
oh one hi this is me meal preps I'm back on a diet
20:33
tomorrow let me just put this down sorry I'm just on a podcast there thanks see
20:41
you what you get what's for dinner I've already had it but look we've got chocolate protein SK cake
20:50
oo Spanish tortilla cocoa pops over nice oats like
20:56
what you've seen you you've seen me and py can strip F and it's on that like pad
21:02
it makes me laugh cuz pad always used to say like the fat just like melts off me and I was thinking how the [ __ ] does it
21:10
do that but it does when you stick to the macros I think I think his head
21:15
makes him look bigger than he is tooy did you see in his last face he um
21:22
he started so if I say in kilos all of his fights in the UFC would not starts
21:28
at like 92 and this time he started at 85 to make 70 kilo and just see the
21:36
shoulders on him he's like L he was must no he looked really big and lean
21:42
he yeah F fight night too he was huge on Fight
21:48
Night yeah people can get away with that sort of uh like yo-yo dieting in that big roller coaster of a weight cut for a
21:55
while but I mean you start getting up an age and it gets a little bit more challenging to to cut the weight to lose
22:00
the fat and you start having to really like properly prepare for it yeah I that's what I noticed about this fight I
22:08
was thinking you can you can tell me if I'm right or wrong I don't think I'd still be
22:15
fighting now if IID had to do all of them big wake cuts for like 10 years I
22:22
don't think I'd still want to do it all the time if I was living the life that I
22:27
used to live where be a little bit less accountable when it comes to life foods
22:32
and I also said to me me coach Paul I don't think I was technically good enough for the 115 division because I
22:39
think the 125 Division is a bit more of like a brawl away category and I think
22:45
the 115 stylistically everyone is so sound and I think I finally put enough
22:51
time and effort into the grappling to now be ready there and to be ready to have a good run at in this this division
22:58
now so we talked about people you know cutting a lot of weight for that
23:03
Advantage but they're normally missing the the filling in the gaps of
23:11
technique and I I have to commend you because you not only you know cut weight to a honestly a more fitting weight
23:18
class like height-wise sizewise for you but you also filled in a ton of gaps and
23:24
I I really admire and respect that and appreciate that because normally people just do it so that they don't have to
23:29
put in the work but you did both and that's just it's really commandable and admirable thanks
23:36
Jess yeah um what do you think do you think you had a choice um when you got
23:44
into the UFC like do you was there a moment where you were like I could either cut a bunch of weight and be in
23:50
115 or I'm a 25 because I feel like when you got into UFC you were pretty settled
23:56
in that weight class right I
24:03
was the Fett um I got into the UFC from heart
24:10
like just this like there was no science we didn't really know what we was doing I just [ __ ] had a good go when I got
24:18
in there I just I I just had a fight and I feel
24:24
like the more with more success the more opportunity unities has arisen for like
24:30
more science-based training nutrition and testing and I remember after me UFC
24:38
debut loss I had ex scan and they basically
24:43
said you're going to have to cut like 10 pound the night before still to make 115 so you may as well just stay at this
24:50
division but do correct strength and conditioning and do correct like macro
24:56
periodization meal prep so I was like okay and then I I got away with it I
25:01
feel like I can beat most 125
25:07
Strikers I think I can even beat most Grapplers but when they're grappling
25:12
when I'm fighting the black belt who are the Elite of the elite if they get me down I was struggling too much to get
25:18
back up because they know how to use their weight and they know how to keep me down
25:24
and I was just done after we last last like years I was just done like the next day we was on the train
25:30
going home and I was like I'm done and me coach Paul just said I swear to God if I think you couldn't be in the mix of
25:37
it I just tell you to go to boxing he said but I swear just please give me one fight drop down to this weight and and
25:44
look watch how easy it would be and um I honestly trained like I was getting
25:50
ready to fight a Manda nunz for the fight and people can say what they want about am Bala but she gave kolina like a
25:59
close fight in the in the fight that they had before this one and i' just been finished twice in the face round
26:05
both times so I mean so she asked for the fight she got it and um I think you
26:11
could see I didn't know yeah I didn't know that either so I've never T down a
26:18
fight girl I've thought everyone I probably shouldn't have just as much as you Havens um and I just think at the end
26:27
when one I literally just like fell on the floor and I was just like [ __ ] hell kids you've just proper done it
26:34
there like you showed box and you showed Tha box and you showed wrestling you
26:39
showed jiujitsu and you showed MMA Grand and P like you literally put on a clinic there and I was just like [ __ ]
26:46
hell my god did they yeah I don't know if I agree with you um with the whole
26:53
you wouldn't be around if you were doing 115 for what would you say 10 years just
27:00
because there's a right like I was wrong so I think you both always you Americans
27:09
you always eat well you know what I mean like are you you should have seen us
27:15
last night at the fights girl also you you realize the leading cause of death
27:20
here is obesity right no but you are always in shape I
27:27
still like a meatball now to let's see it I want to see the abs shirt off hey it's still flat it's
27:37
still flat oh please that's nothing that's not
27:42
that's your fate since I was a 105 I'm like as heavy as heavy as I
27:49
would walk into the cage at 125 is what I am now that's what that's what it looks like you 135 okay that's normal
27:59
that's a normal straw not a big stra not a small one I'm like I I try to stay
28:05
around 130 yeah that's what I would like to be just so the camp doesn't become
28:10
about a lot of running you can still and just train R yeah I rather fight like at
28:16
my um like training size as opposed to fighting heavy or fighting too small so
28:24
I try to stay around there and then it's like same same when I get in there after I rehydrate I'm about 12 25ish something
28:31
like that I think I was 123 nice so that it down he did right
28:40
and the difference too like I um my main training partner right now is Jenna but
28:45
as soon as I have like War when you was cutting weight in that changing room on
28:51
your last fight I've seen the post I was like wow jna looks big yeah still Li in
28:57
an open playing I know yeah but I'm saying like it is whenever I get the the
29:03
um privilege of training with a straw weight who's actually a straw weight not just a big ass flyweight cutting down
29:10
the straw weight then I'm just like oh man you're so light and I can see you
29:15
had that little moment when you did the big DC single leg off of the cage like
29:22
she she almost went out the cage because all of a sudden she's so light
29:28
yeah I promised him I said I get this on all the boys in the gym but it just
29:33
never came with fruition I always get like a good blast double leg like I've
29:38
I've had a good good few ones then but to get that high crotch I was [ __ ]
29:44
buzzing more more buzzing with that than it was the arar yeah that was the icing
29:50
on the cake like I did the DC and I armer and I have
29:56
abs no it was sick it was definitely that's
30:01
definitely on my bucket list of things to do in the cage yeah yeah that was
30:08
awesome I know I'm gonna try and get a wa head oh there you go I might be
30:17
able to reach someone's head she was still she had six inches reach on my arms I was like for [ __ ]
30:24
sake you need you need one of these little meat wrestlers to get that one on yeah came
30:30
down to straw to avoid that kind of thing I know I'm I have actually got the
30:36
the smallest reach in the whole of the UFC in the in the whole
30:44
J come on that's great before me it was
30:51
H but no she's been she's been caued oh okay 62
30:58
dang she did have some T-Rex arms they were like short but meaty but I think that because her traps were so big they
31:04
just like Zapped up her arm leg Yeah aale short short reach isn't always the
31:11
worst thing you get really tight hooks you get like power on anything that
31:16
comes in at an angle and they're just kind of piano catting while you punch
31:22
him in the face so it's not always the worst thing especially if you have like head movement footwork which you have
31:28
yeah yeah you could do it have they said anything about what's next for
31:34
you I you know me when I was drunk after the fight I ended up on one G we had the
31:42
best night in Vegas ever I ended up in is it Resort Wheels we went to go watch
31:48
dead mouse with Michaela Maya love her she's
31:53
my she's like she's like one of those isn't she cuz I feel like when I first met you guys I was like in and when I
32:00
first met here I was like oh I can [ __ ] with you like you're cool
32:05
hey I think seems fine yeah I think they always do won in England in
32:11
July and I believe they trying to say it's like Manchester which is
32:17
like about 20 miles away from my house so that's like the northwest of England
32:24
where we live so that would be cool but I don't know if I'm given I reckon I
32:29
just need eight weeks to make the the weight correct um since being home I've trained
32:36
twice a day since I've I've got some Jiu-Jitsu competitions booked
32:41
for March April May nice and that keeps you in shape too because you have to
32:48
make that weight under 60 kilo what ones do you
32:53
compet um it I did a few different ones ones but I'm going to do
32:59
ADCC um the 21 kilo and under I think not kilos what is it
33:07
21 oh no 121 but I think it's 50 something 56 or
33:14
55 yeah 56 55 and under or 56 55 yeah do you know what we should do we should all
33:21
do the Master's worlds it's in August in Vegas
33:27
yeah I'm planning on it my uh my uh one of my professors just asked me if I was gone so I'm GNA try to do that rather
33:36
than J you know what I was supposed to do it last time but then uh I had the old the
33:42
old foot issue um so yeah I would love to do that I've really been wanting to do that um I just got cleared from the
33:49
boot to like work out but I still have to keep a shoe on so I can't do anything Barefoot yet but can you wrest not
33:58
wrestle could you do do you mean just to be at the gym or can you do Jiu-Jitsu with wrestling
34:04
boots I have to have a special orthotic insert just so it takes the pressure I
34:10
know I'm like old lady sty I have to keep the pressure off of like the ball
34:15
of my foot because that's where the break is and it's just uh it has terrible circulation it's weightbearing
34:20
and like anything up on the ball of my foot is problematic so I started physical therapy last week started doing
34:27
no heels um but yeah uh they said one one
34:34
more month they want me to stay just in the shoe with the orthotic and then we'll start doing Barefoot stuff uh but
34:41
my foot's super locked up just from like being in a fixed position for so long so I'm excited to to touch the mat again to
34:48
be barefoot I haven't been barefoot in like a year Jess uh hit like some conditioning last week though because
34:54
she got cleared and gotta entry back into being an athlete it hurt it hurt so
35:02
bad it made me want to take a nap like I was a 60y old it was rough at least like
35:08
could you be able to do it like in stages it's not going to hit you like you know sometimes when I do fight camps
35:16
the first three weeks I'm like oh my [ __ ] god me hips it feels like that
35:22
but I'm not actually doing fight Camp intensity but it feel like that's the equivalent of where that's how bad a
35:27
shape I'm in right now that's what it feels like like you're in Red Zone all the time yes yes it's so bad my Red Zone
35:36
has significantly like moved down though it's like it's like 150 is red for me and I'm just like but you probably eat
35:44
better now than you probably ever have because you can't train or you couldn't train you know what yeah I mean I'm I'm
35:51
definitely I've always eaten what I wanted because I could work out and so this was was uh a little rough on me for
35:59
a few months I had to it was a little rough I started counting the macros I started doing all that stuff like
36:05
counting carbs which is something I've never had to do because I just I couldn't sweat properly I couldn't work
36:12
out we never [ __ ] sweat it anyway J
36:18
honestly was like it was like minus [ __ ] 15 sow ice and I was like I'm
36:26
just going to miss ways I was thought up in my head like [ __ ] how much money does that mean I'm
36:32
missing then when I was like that's the equivalent to like an average PA's
36:37
annual wage if not a [ __ ] chance that's all you got to be out here man it's winter time and we still get up
36:44
to the high 60s surfing again on the mat yeah Ian Gary took
36:52
someone to the took his girl to the beach for Valentine's Day I heard was out
36:58
here I'm going to come in April I'm going to go to
37:03
um I want to go to UFC 3 no but UFC 301
37:10
which is in um Rio because it's on my birthday May 4th so okay but before then
37:18
I thought I'd fly to San Diego train for two weeks and then go there nice oh May
37:26
May 18th so we get some work in I know you'll head kick me and I'll
37:32
just grab you a single leg no yeah yeah lift me lift me I'll be
37:42
so skinny we do that Kevin what is it Kevin thingy when he he lifts the woman
37:47
at the ends what's that F yeah um Dirty Dancing
37:52
Yeah you know I've been wanting to do that challenge but but I'm probably not strong enough to hold her so meatball
37:59
step in I'll step up to the place for you don't worry love I work on my
38:08
farm my god when what was I going to
38:14
say I don't know it's your podcast it's not mine Sor yeah well I think uh I
38:20
think that's all we have for you is there um I mean I loved what you were saying in the beginning about the stuff
38:27
and I could just see it written all over your face and the media and the face off
38:33
like everything um you said you got like Ian Gary level hate
38:39
um what kind of stuff what what were they saying if you don't mind rehashing
38:44
this horrible moment in your life so at peace I'm so at
38:50
peace um it just be stuff like [ __ ] why don't you kill yourself ah I hope
38:57
your baby's born Down syndrome I hate the ones where they're
39:03
like I've lost my [ __ ] mortgage on you because I put a bet on you see that
39:09
one's not as bad as the other two to me no but they go like they'll go in on me
39:15
family and just I don't know maybe you're a bit Fragile on something and
39:20
they such a nerve like I swear to God I don't miss a session I don't I I give me
39:27
life to this game as much as hard as I train I do the media side I try and make
39:33
everyone laugh and just enjoy the space exactly like what you used do and I
39:38
think like I say it got that bad I don't know why it gets that bad DC even said
39:45
because me and Paddy come up so quick that's what happens you know what I mean but yeah [ __ ] hell I haven't I
39:52
haven't done nothing wrong to receive it but I also think if it's annoying for them to see me celebrate but I'm like
39:59
[ __ ] kid where I'm from and what I've managed to achieve that was never in my stars that was never written for me and
40:07
like when I've had them big moments in front of the world I feel like I've the same as what you both have because you
40:13
you've been in the game for so long you've grown up in front of the world you've matured in front of the world and
40:20
that's what I was trying to say in all the media stuff is like me and py
40:25
literally just got drops into the ocean and was just trying to swim and we might
40:30
have said some things wrong or that was distasteful or said some really good things and I think we've just tried to
40:39
Lear and what I was always so much trying to make it an experience for
40:44
everyone else that when I just you see in it this fight fight week I was just like [ __ ] you not even St and off with
40:50
me opponents cuz it's not me vers you it's me vers me so I'm not even entertaining yeah
40:56
it's me face me to me love that no I love that it's so important nobody no
41:04
like there's no Playbook on this we're all just trying to figure it out we're all human we're all trying to do our best and I just I got to say again I
41:10
really appreciate your vulnerability your honesty and just your perseverance it's it really is
41:16
inspiring thanks love I you can't go out on on so when you're having a [ __ ] go
41:24
you've just got to keep on going I because people need inspiration people need to see that you can still do it and
41:30
I think it takes the power away from the trolls a little bit mean like I've read it all you could say anything to me now
41:37
and I'd be like all right say something original I've heard that before to I
41:42
mean but um I don't know just I I think like if I could ever leave one piece of
41:49
advice or one profound statement is like you're not owed anything in this a or on
41:55
this world like you can train as hard as you can you can eat the right food you can go above and beyond and you still
42:01
it's not your right to win J I mean you still have got to work for it
42:07
so nothing's nothing's given you've got to go and get it is is is uh the
42:13
inspiration part your main drive right now you think inspiring others by just
42:21
going and trying and being yourself I haven't believed I could win a bell for a long time and after that
42:30
fight I'm not getting carried away with myself I'm very aware that a Dian B beer
42:35
is not way like very much away but I think if I apply myself I can [ __ ]
42:43
have a good go I can get right up in them Rankin and see where we can go from there so I
42:49
think I don't know if it's proper weird to say but like I've inspired just [ __ ] say it yeah
42:57
I'm your own inspiration deistic but I think [ __ ] there's not many you can take on the
43:03
chin the [ __ ] the world through at me and moon walk through it
43:12
all yes no it's so true and I think a lot of times when we when we have a step
43:18
back we're almost embarrass to say that we believe in ourselves and yeah you
43:24
[ __ ] like you need it there's there's no way to get through this world if you don't believe in yourself so I love that
43:31
good for you man I'm I'm happy you found that for yourself with this fight hope you find it for the next one too I know
43:38
I've asked to rank to Poland because not here for a [ __ ] long time so made for
43:43
a good time not a long time give me someone top 15 top 10 Nice
43:49
Nice anyone you have your eyes on or just like a fight that even if
43:55
it's not your next fight you know it's going to be a good fight I'd love to fight Michelle Waterson or baby Shar
44:03
because I had one rounds with baby shark and it was very competitive and I think we'd have a good go um and I feel like
44:11
Michelle W fighting his is like a stylistic good fight for both of
44:18
us and she's little and she's in the rankings so you
44:25
get the head with her that's for sure hey well you know what I I I think I said this to you right I wouldn't fight
44:32
you unless it was for the Bells but I reckon we could get the bad [ __ ] Bells we could have female
44:38
BMF Bells yeah that'd be awesome we could start by
44:44
just throwing 20 spinning [Laughter] elbows for one fish power elbow
44:54
champion no for sure for sure well I I had to do
45:02
a lot of like searching inner inner searching and stuff to to get that drive back and it really is special once you
45:10
once you fill that belief in yourself again yeah I think so but I always thought you've been a gangster anyway I
45:16
think the way that you handle the media how you just try and make it fun and not
45:23
boring and you're so different J me and it like hates me to know that you the N
45:28
it because you the [ __ ] girl stop it you're the [ __ ] you [ __ ] no you the [ __ ]
45:36
just [ __ ] too you a [ __ ] you a fart
45:44
no that's a this that's a this you you're not a fart you're the
45:51
[ __ ] I look I look like a meatball R of wow hey you're GNA
45:58
love we did before before we let you go we did have a couple questions no I've
46:04
got to tell you something before the questions okay go for it yeah sorry I've got scramble it's like but it's like
46:15
a wear that I'm [ __ ] I am J
46:21
yes I love it one on pois and
46:26
I'm F you get you know I love it down the street yo yo I got gold medal
46:33
beating a blue purple Bel division in noi so I'm a
46:38
grappling I did I was laughing AJ I literally walked into the World
46:44
Championships ER and [ __ ] an was on the M like let's go
46:50
Angie I love that that was so I was pumped was like I I have one fan in a
47:00
m did you say a white hand oh no I said I have one fan in this Molly
47:07
but I have one white fan I'm more R I'm more red than
47:15
honestly oh man me with that
47:20
demographic yes okay your meatball comment reminded me of the questions um
47:27
MVB asked meatballs aren't really a thing where is she from has she had a
47:33
real Italian meatball or not so yeah meatballs aren't your thing from where you're from so have you had a real
47:39
Italian meatball I've never even kissed an Italian patient
47:48
both now I've had um no I've had um I've made the best
47:56
meatballs because I can't [ __ ] stand them ah so we've made them so nice we
48:02
make them with Italian sausage and then beef mints instead the POR oo you're
48:09
going to have to drop a recipe us when you come yes you be you'll be flyweights
48:17
next I need it man you gotta make like keto ones for
48:24
Jess what is keto is it is keto like a low calorie or no keto is like cars oh no
48:32
carbs oh well I guess they're Allin just F
48:39
off all right um one more question who's the most or big Leo for zaz who's the
48:47
most underrated fighter in your opinion male and
48:54
female that is such a hard
49:02
one pressure on and you have to answer you can't the fans F hell
49:11
guys I'm just gonna say Arnold Allen ah nice just from England I
49:17
think I think he is so underrated for how good he is at wrestling at Jiu-Jitsu
49:24
and at striking and know he's had like bit of a rough last two fights but I
49:29
feel like on his day like when you've seen some of his finishes on his day he can have a good girl I'm going to hate
49:37
myself that I haven't had a good think about this one it's okay is is to be put on those they're hard yeah really hard
49:44
to do I hate those during fight week you're like low carb you're comfortable or whatever and people ask you these
49:50
questions what was that question they asked you they were like how do you feel about I don't know
49:57
women women's rights or something like that they asked you the most
50:04
loaded because it was uh women's some like it was it was like women's month or
50:09
something like that yeah they always try and throw that one do you know what the I always get I always get the um do you
50:19
think that transgender should be allowed to fight sh because I'm gay and I'm in
50:24
the community yeah I'm like no
50:32
no if they say yes that means they haven't actually ever been punched in the face before because they would not
50:37
be saying that if they knew what it was like I feel like if you're fighting someone whose's trans it's going to be a
50:42
hell of a fight because they have some trauma for sure like I always say when Ashley for fall
50:50
Fox MH hey and but does she know she was
50:55
trans when they fought okay I I feel they were having trouble booking her I feel like you if
51:03
you know then a person can make a choice whether they're gonna do that
51:09
dumb i' fight a fell I would just have a go for you
51:15
would just for fun I I feel like if you were to do it it' have to be like exhibition or
51:21
something like I wouldn't want car par of the of the I would do it for Street
51:29
beefs there one of my favorite Street beefs Fighters is I think trans I'm not
51:34
sure if they like transition or not but there's this fighter named gash favorite do you know what g means
51:43
yes yes that's I didn't know if it was an England and American thing yeah it's
51:49
her her name is gash it translates I know I know her pronounce
51:58
oh but yeah they always ask me the black history questions too if I'm fighting oh yeah you get them I'm fighting like
52:04
December through February I'm gonna get a a nice Heap in black history
52:09
question's your favorite black you gota you gotta prep people with those questions for fight week yeah well you
52:16
know everybody r on all cylinders you know everyone who wants to be a comedian
52:21
is GNA say Mike Perry his favorite black play yeah that's the one but yeah they need to
52:27
prepare us for sure we need to cheat sheet yeah sure sure all right Molly we don't want to
52:34
keep it too much longer thank you so much for coming on we're so happy for you and your success and can't wait to
52:39
see what you do next in the division and we can't wait to see you in a few months I know I even said to Jenna like say the
52:48
last two weeks of mar April or maybe the first week of May one
52:54
nice and she might be fighting sometime in April for uh
53:00
something so I just realized I can't say it but she she might be fighting April
53:06
too so a I I hope she's leaving somewhere and going somewhere else and get hey
53:12
hey we need to will it we need to will it my my affirmations [ __ ] tight so
53:21
I'll get to work I'll start manifesting and a faming yeah yes love it love it do
53:27
it hey you reckon she could make straws on her I don't I've seen her at 25 and
53:34
she's tiny well at wein she's like a lollipop head isn't she yeah she's just
53:40
like uh starving Marvin you know like just super super skinny like not tour so
53:48
she looks bigger from the front but when she turns to the side you can't see her you know what I mean
53:54
like yeah but I mean I've I've told her too she should try or not should try but
54:01
like she's not bigger than the biggest straw we so there's always a
54:08
possibility but all right all right you're all wrapped up
54:13
like a little yeah so we're gonna let you go thanks so much for your time KCK in
54:24
bye all right oh man I love that girl I can't wait till she comes back out she
54:31
look so comfy I'm about to go do the same thing even though it is 1 o'clock
54:37
it's 1 L we had a really late night I think we could both use a little a little map my legs are still tired
54:44
trying to impress shano mly you were impressing the hell out of me I couldn't believe you didn't stop up
54:50
that hill you just kep going I was like wow I thought I thought about stopping
54:55
and then we came around the corner and I saw that they were still there at the top of the hill so I was like ah okay no
55:01
we're doing it got my Army run going oh my God that was impressive it
55:08
was it was very impressive thank you thank you was not impressed that n none of the
55:14
gentlemen offered us their seat but that's for another show no they were
55:19
very unimpressive in that sense no Gentleman on that golf cart I
55:26
like I like how um omali was behind us when we were walking towards golf carts
55:34
and then we we got big time for sure I looked at Corey Cory McKenna was with us
55:40
and I said we're about to get big time and it happened yeah but it was you you
55:45
did it you manifested that I didn't manifest it I just set my Barlo so I wouldn't be
55:54
hurt it's okay oh you muted
56:00
yourself but yeah it was a great time last night I'm so happy that we got to you know join in all the festivities and
56:07
feel that energy it felt good I haven't uh experienced that in a while yeah I wish they came to San Diego or to uh
56:15
SoCal more often we have to we always have a good time when they come out here
56:20
they said they'll be back soon though hopefully they're coming back down to any go hopefully it's not like
56:26
Northern California or something like that yeah no one wants to go there want to go there yeah Alpha M
56:35
show all right well this has been another two
56:41
straws we'll see you next time guys
56:46
oh
56:52
bye
